DE LORENZO NOVA FUSION DUO REVIEW

✎ Saturday, 6 July 2013
What comes with having blonde hair is the hassle of having to maintain it. Don't get me wrong I love my blonde locks and the upkeep is something I was fully aware of when I went back blonde over a year ago.
Alot of people think that the only way to keep your blonde from going brassy is to have regular trips to the hairdressers but I don't think that is entirely sure. I think the easiest and quickest way is too yes but with the regular use shampoos meant for blonde hair. You can prolong your hair colour with using a purple or silver shampoo which is exactly what the De Lorenzo Nova Fusion Duo is for.

The Nova Fusion line is a new line from DeLorenzo and is really cool because they have a huge variety of different shampoos for different types of colour hair that all pair with the same nourishing conditioner for colour treated hair. For example one of the other shampoos is 'Cherry Red' for red hair and a whole lot of others. Obviously, I use the Silver shampoo because I have blonde hair.

The Nova Fusion line free from:
 -Paraben
-Petrochemicals
-Phosphates
And is also free from animal testing

I was really excited to try out this particular silver shampoo because it has a bunch of natural ingredients like sunflower oil and kakadu plum. I usually use other purple shampoos that are fairly strong and really dry out my hair so this seemed like a good alternative for me.
The shampoo was really lovely to use and I really liked the scent. It didn't lather as much as other shampoos because it doesn't contain the phosphates which I didn't love but found it still did clean my hair well.

As you can see this is the darkest purple shampoo I own and I was so shocked to see how deep it was!  I think this definitely helped eliminate brassy tones and noticed a difference after leaving this in my hair for a good 5 minutes before rinsing. The only negative I have to say about this shampoo is that it took ALOT to rinse it out of the roots. The first time I used it although my blonde was a lovely colour I had to wear a beanie because I hadn't washed it out properly. The next time I really ensured I worked it out and I haven't had a problem since.

The conditioner is pretty stock standard it detangles and nourishes the hair well. I really like the scent of this one as well both are described as 'Lavender Rose Tea' scents but I would say more on the Rose side because I'm not a huge fan of lavender scents.

Overall
I really like these as an alternative to my other blonde shampoo that are a bit more drying as I find these don't leave my hair feeling dry. I'm still on the fence about whether I will repurchase the shampoo because I enjoy a 'no fuss' shampoo and although I do love the scent, results and nourishment I'm a little skepetical about how much effort it takes to rinse out of the hair.

These are $25.95 each which I think is a fantastic price for a good toning blonde shampoo available here.

  7. How pretty are the colours of the products! :)
Im a brunette but if i was blonde id definitely be interesting in trying these. I was blonde once and found the cost of toning shampoos and conditioners to be really costly :( but these arnt too bad considering the size of the products your buying.
