I've been known to have a little too many products stashed beside my bed to the point I have four (maybe 5) lip balms hanging out not being used. I thought it was time to sort it and what better encouragement than to make it into a blog post. These are the products that made the cut and are now comfortably gracing my bedside table.
I always keep a lotion beside my bed because I have incredibly dry legs and it doesn't help that I always forget to moisturise them! Keeping my moisturiser next to my bed encourages me to moisturise at least in the evenings. This Vaseline Healthy Radiance Ultimate 10 Anti-ageing Lotion* is my newly found best friend and possibly my favourite body lotion of all time. I like how light and creamy it is but the best thing is the fast absorbing formula that does not leave any greasy residue on your body. It smells amazing and I'm really enjoying this for a quick fix before bed.
My Clarins Age-Control Hand Lotion* is a staple beside my bed because I also have been getting super dry hands lately. Again, this absorbs really fast making it a delight to apply just before bed. I wouldn't say this is super intensive because it is a lighter lotion but my hands aren't chronically dry so it does the job for me. A less glamorous product I have handy is this Nutri-Syenergy Natural N8 Heel Balm* I have been applying this every night and popping socks on before bed. I am trying to get my feet in better condition now it's warming up and this is slowly but surely helping smooth out my feet in a much better way than filing those heels *shudders*
Lanolips Golden Ointment* is a product that I couldn't possibly remove from my beside table ever as it is such a staple. This has you covered from everything to dry lips, dry patches of skin on your body, rashes, peeling cuticles and it even soothes mosquito bites. I warm this up between my fingers then pop it onto the problem area and done! I really enjoy the consistency once warmed up because it turns into an oily consistency rather than a thick ointment.
My last two little pots are probably the most used from the bunch. This Seascape Peppermint Lip Balm is a light balm that I much prefer now the weather is heating up and I have swapped out Lanolips 101 Ointment for this. With the warmth of your finger it comes soft and almost oil like which I've been loving. The smell is divine and this little bad boy is worth the price tag. Lastly is my Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream that is taking my forever to make a dint in so it's a cost-effective product that's for sure. I don't apply this every night because it does leave a residue behind but it's extremely nourishing for the times where my cuticles have seen better days.

Hi Sarah
ReplyDeleteHuge fan of your coverage of what's the latest and greatest in the beauty world.
Have you thought of doing a feature on eyeliner pencils? I've tried heaps of budget end pencils but would appreciate your take on the more expensive end of the spectrum. Are they worth the $$$?
Take care

hey lovely! I will put it on my list of posts that need doing, thank you for you're suggestion :) xxx
Deletemmm peppermint lip balm sounds lovely! I need to have a bedside clear out asap!
ReplyDeleteIt is divine :)
DeleteOoh I really like the sound of that lip balm but I mean, $18 for a balm sounds far-fetched.. Having said that, I think I might purchase the Clarins hand cream, despite the price! I've not heard of that before! Anyway, great post as usual, Sarah!
ReplyDeleteHaha we all spend money on different things. I don't think $20 is bad on a lip balm! But I did consider it a treat :)
DeleteI like the look of these products! Never tried the Burts bees cuticle cream but I've heard great things. I also don't use a body lotion currently but maybe I should to avoid the dry patches.
ReplyDeleteI get the worst dry patches and moisturising has helped alot! I notice a big difference :)
DeleteSurprisingly enough I actually don't have any bedside products! The only thing I put on before bed is some EOS lip balm! But you have some great products here, I definitely need to work some products into my pre-bed routine! Oh and I loveee the Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream!
ReplyDeleteI loveeee EOS lip balms :D
DeleteSo many lovely products there. I also have the whole stash beside on my bed table - a girl's gotta be prepared for a good night's sleep, right?! ;)

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any of their body products until this one and I have to say I'm pretty impressed!
DeleteGreat picks! I recently saw the Vaseline Healthy Radiance Ultimate 10 Anti-ageing Lotion being advertised and i actually haven't used too many Vaseline products before but this one sounds great! I hate using moisturisers that leave a residue or feeling so I'm definitely going to have to give this a try!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of the golden ointment!
