OH SO SHEER

✎ Tuesday, 18 March 2014
I'm a sucker for celebrity fragrances. I've worn Victoria Beckham's perfume since I was 16 and I still repurchase it. I like how affordable and accessible they are - us university students want to smell nice too! Before we even begin, the bottle. I just don't get it. I don't find it aesthetically pleasing on my dressing table and we all want things to look 'right'. Right? Now I'm horrible at describing scents (it smells really... nice?) so I'm going to give this my best shot and hopefully in some way or another you get me.

This fragrance is not like other celebrity fragrances. Period. It's extremely sophisticated in comparison to the Brittany Spears numbers we've all worn at some stage. Don't deny it! Wearing this is like eating full price Pink Lady Apples - you just feel all smug and posh even though it's just an apple. Or is that just me? I'm drifting, sorry.

Top Notes:
Purple Plum, Mulberry, Blackberry and Elderberries

Middle Notes:
Red Velvet Flower, Rainbow Plumeria, Purple Fressia and Purple Lilac

Bottom Notes:
Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart and Liquid Praline

This perfume is complex. I'm puffed after typing all that! But seriously it is complex when I sniff it I'm not sure what I'm smelling at all (I guess it's all those notes mooshed together?) but it smells good, really good. It's not too sweet or floral and it doesn't give me a headache - win. I do pick up those berry notes which is something different for me. This has surprised me and I think you should all go sniff it because it's just different and I think most people will appreciate the subtle fresh scent that Katy Perry has created. I mean Katy Perry created it.

Let me know how I went, did you get me?

RRP $59 from Priceline (currently on sale for $49) here

  2. I have this & I adore it. It's been my go to scent since I got it. Although recently I found out it seems to attract bee's so I have gone back to my all time favourite Lady Gaga - Fame. It's lovely though. I keep it in it's box as the bottles are hard to organize :/ xx

  5. Yeah I loved the scent of the new Katy Perry fragrance too. It's prety light compared to the original - great for that everyday wear. :)

  6. I had a sniff of this and did really like how feminine and youthful it was, yet still sophisticated! Personally though I still really want to pick up the original Killer Queen. I actually really like the bottle - I have a thang for crystal type shapes lol, I wish it came with a stand though so it that it isn't so awkwardly...there.

    1. I haven't sniffed the original one so I didn't have that too compare it too. A stand would be perfect though wouldn't it?!

  10. I've never heard of this fragrance. It sounds interesting. I like the color, but I don't like how it can't stand. It won't leave me much space on my vanity. It's definitely pretty, though =)

By the way, I've nominated you for the Liebster Award. Take a read here: http://bit.ly/1g3HTTU
