PRICELINE 40% COSMETICS HAUL + UPDATE

✎ Thursday, 20 March 2014
Before getting into the haul I thought I'd give you all a bit of an update on More Than Adored. After considering it for the past few months, and various conversations on twitter with Michaela, I've decided to start scheduling my posts for everyday at 7am EST. This allows me to be more organised, manage my time better and be more consistent overall. I'll still be online everyday! Doing all those things like replying to comments, tweeting and posting on Instagram but my posts will just be going live without me. I think it's a step in the right direction for More Than Adored and hopefully you all appreciate the consistency. Let me know what you all think!
As many of you know Priceline recently had a 40% off all cosmetics for two days. I usually steer clear of all these type of sales to save my wallet but considering it is my birthday month I decided to treat myself. I mainly picked up things I've been wanting to try as well as some bits for upcoming posts.
I purchased the Maybelline Fit Me in shade 330 because it's the darkest shade available in the range and I'm wanting to test out some cream contouring. I also have a shade in my normal skin tone so I will be doing a post featuring both in the next few weeks. I've been seeing the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream as well as the Innoxa Skin Perfecting Pore Vanishing Cream pop up alot so I picked both of them up to try out for myself. Fingers crossed they live up too the rave reviews.
The Covergirl Outlast Fabulous Foundation was everywhere during 2013 and I've been wanting to try it after so many recommendations. I bought two shades so that I'm able to customise it and hopefully be able to wear it when I'm fake tanned as well. A new release in Australia is the L'oreal Nude Maique Eau De Teint. I've enjoyed alot of L'oreal base products so I was keen to try it out. This shade is fairly dark for me and I found the shade range pretty poor but I'm still excited to try it!

Another product that was everywhere in 2013 was these Savvy Long Lasting Matte Lipsticks. I picked up the shades Maui and Bali too try out. I'm hoping that they aren't to drying on the lips.
This was completely inspired by Estee after she raved about the Almay Smoky-I for Browns. I'm unsure if this is the exact trio she had but I'm excited to try some Almay eyeshadows regardless. Probably my only impulse purchase of the order too! These two Covergirl Flamed Out! Pencils were bought to complete the set. I adore these and want to put together a swatch post of the whole line for you all. Keep your eyes peeled for that coming up :)

Let me know what you think about the new blog schedule and what products you're dying to see featured so I can prioritise with trialling them all.

  3. I have the Maybelline Fit Me stick in the same shade that I use for contouring - love it, it looks really natural but I do set it with a powder otherwise it does move around. The Savvy Lipsticks are great too, I have the nude on called Paris and it doesn't budge! Hope you love them all!

  4. With so much blog posting, how do you manage to juggle it all with uni and part-time work? Do you just sit down and smash out a couple of posts in one sitting then schedule them as you go? :) Would be interested in hearing how you do it, cos I need help haha

    1. I might do a full blog post with some tips! I've found a really great routine. I take bulk photos if I'm organised... I'm usually three days ahead with my posts. It's such hard work but I love it so I wouldn't change it :) I'll make sure I do a post ASAP

  12. I wanted to buy the L'Oreal foundation but my local hadn't properly stocked the stand yet! I even asked about it specifically but they said it hadn't been "priced" etc., even though I mentioned I already saw them having a huge box of them the day before on the ground, LOL. Oh well, I don't need any more foundation anyway :p
