I'm a long time lover of the matte finish but a luminous glow has got me all smitten lately. I feel as though that dewy glow really detracts from any spots and is less likely to cling to any dry crusty spots - you know what I'm talking about! I have a few bits, particularly base products, that I've been adoring for achieving the perfect luminous finish without looking too shiny.
BASE: I never 'got' the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm* until recently and my god, it's good! The perfect base when you skin is looking a bit blah. My beloved Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation is my go-to when wanting to blur imperfections and have flawless skin. Although it doesn't have the best lasting power, the finish is undeniably perfect. I took the Clarins Instant Concealer* under the eyes and the YSL Touche Elcat up the cheekbones and down the centre of my face to give a subtle glow rather then using a highlighter.. Due to the foundation not having the best lasting power I used the Arbonne Natural Radiance Foundation* to set. This gives the skin a beautiful sheen without looking like a glitter ball. I prefer this as a setting powder rather then an all over foundation.
CHEEKS: I used NYX blush in Pinched to give my cheeks a lovely flush. I find that it's that perfect shade too give you a bit of colour and sheen with any look.
EYES: The Maybelline Big Eyes in Luminous Brown* has been a staple for me lately. All the colours work really well together, blend easily and are super pigmented. It's a perfect quad in my eyes and something you should all add to your shopping lists!
LIPS: Sometimes I opt for a really bold shade when using the Maybelline palette but today I decided to keep it simple with the ELES Micro Bubble Lipstick in 'Micro Flamingo'. The gorgeous blue-based pink is stunning teamed with the Innoxa Antioxidant Lip Glaze in Berry. This lip combo has been a go-to on the daily, glossy nude and really comfortable on the lips.

DeleteGorgeous! I absolutely love dewy finish skin, I find matte, overly powdered skin can look dry and aged. With combo skin though it's hard to rock the luminous finish without getting oily throughout the day! The Maybelline quad looks so pretty btw!
