Snacking is one of those things I've struggled to get 'right' and I still don't think I'm perfect at it. It seems when I'm wanting to graze I crave sugar, salt and anything high in saturated fats. In an effort to incorporate more lifestyle posts in More Than Adored's content I thought I'd share my five go-to snacks that aren't going to make you feel guilty afterwards. I'd love if you shared your favourite snacks in the comments so we can all get more ideas too!
Handful of almonds
I never used to like almonds but over the past year I've become a bit of an almond lover. My favourite way to have them in mixed through my porridge however a great on-the-go snack is to pack a little container of these bad boys. They are jammed pack full of protein, vitamins and minerals with an arm-length list of health benefits.
Rice Cakes
I'm actually addicted to these and they've replaced my old habit of munching on chips with munching on two or three of these. I like these plain, my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy, but there are plenty of health toppings you could add. Try some avocado, tomatoes or even some cottage cheese. These are low in calories and don't contain any fat or salt. Opt for wholemeal ones for added fibre too!
Pretzels
These aren't too healthy because they contain high amounts of salt and I try not to eat too many however these are a life saver if you're having trouble snacking well. I find a handful of these with some fruit is satisfying after a long day at university. The trick is to limit yourself to only one handful and not over do it. Again, not the most healthy but if you eat them in moderation and opt with the lower salt options (I don't haha) then it's not as bad as other chips.
IsoWhey Cookie Dough Protein Pops*
A new discovery for me and my boyfriend but something that we have both been enjoying since they landed on my desk. These are little snack balls that are sweet, perfect if you crave chocolate, and are high in protein. They're are sweetened with Stevia, so sugar free, and are low in the carb department. These essentially are a healthy way to get your sweet fix and they are actually really tasty! I usually don't fake sweet flavours but these are tasty and we are planning on buying more.
Fruit + Herbal Tea
Alot of people won't agree with me but I say if it's fruit or vegetables you should never ever feel guilty about eating it regardless of the sugar content. Find a fruit you like and snack on that! For me, I love plums, peaches, bananas and grapes. Teamed with a tea it's the perfect afternoon snack (I generally don't snack in the mornings). I'm thinking of doing a post on my favourite tea blends but only if you all want to have a nosey - let me know!

I read this moments after eating a spoonful of Nutella directly from the jar - oh dear. When I am being healthy I love to have Ryvita with pesto, mozzarella and thinly sliced tomato. Those protein pops sound intriguing, I don't think I've seen them in England xx
