If you're a big reader of blogs or watch Youtube this product will not be unfamiliar too you. The Clarins Beauty Flash Balm* is a cult favourite and one of the most recommended products out there. It is a two-in-one radiance boosting lightweight balm aimed to eliminate all signs of fatigue acting as that perfect 'pick-me-up' product. It includes ingredients like algae extract, witch hazel and olive tree extracts that work together to revitalise and promote radiance. It can be used just before make up application as a primer or as a mask.
For a long time I didn't get this product. I tried it as a primer and as a mask although it worked okay for both purposes I wasn't blown away like I thought I would be. This sat sadly in my make up draw until about a month ago where I wasn't feeling well but needed to work. My skin represented something of a bad horror movie, sallow and dull. I applied this in sweeping motions as it is recommended and applied my make up over top immediately. It was obvious to me that this had perk up my skin leaving it looking plump, healthy and a little radiant. The best thing is that it doesn't make my skin more oily throughout the day which is a huge deal for me with a radiance boosting product.
I think the key to this product is the application. Before retrying the product I was just rubbing it in like a typical primer then waiting for it too sink in. Obviously my inability to follow the directions the first time made me skeptical of this product but I can now confidently say this product is worth every bit of hype it gets. I'm still not too fussed of using it as a mask but as a primer it's gorgeous and I'd highly recommend it too anyone who has been unsure about trying it - even you combination/oily girls.
Remember the key is in the application!
Do you think that this is worth the hype?

What a neat product! Clarins is one of those brands that I've seen all over the blogging world but have yet tried! It's definitely on my radar though! :)

This sounds brilliant, almost like a multi-use product! Yay! I've never really delved into Clarin's products before, i probably should. It's because they never stand out to me, when you've got all these BIG brands like benefit and soap & glory shouting all over the place! Xx

My friend swears by it so I'm glad you've also said it's worth the hype! My tube's sitting in the drawer too and now that the weather's changing it might be the right time to bring it out and try it for myself :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a lovely product but I'm not a massive fan of Clarin's after hearing some bad reviews. I may have to try a sample of this because the results do sound lovely!
