JUST LIKE HEAVEN

✎ Friday, 25 April 2014
You all know how I adore supporting local brands so when I was asked if I wanted to try and possibly feature a nail varnish from Australian brand Scout Cosmetics I couldn't say no! Scout Cosmetics offer a range of mineral make up, natural haircare and skincare as well as the new nail polishes. Founder Sylvie Hutchings is a true inspiration and her story is worth the read. These nail polishes are all formulated without any nasties like formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor or Parabens. Amazingly these are all made in Australia!

The colour I'm wearing is 'Just Like Heaven', a beautiful sheer baby pink. I'm usually an opaque nail girl but I adore the hint of colour and shine it gives my nails. The formulation is smooth and dries quickly however to get a fully opaque colour it does take 3-4 coats with this particular shade. Luckily, I adore the perfect wash of colour it gives my nails and how it allows my natural nails to still be visible.

Trying this polish has made me very excited about the brand and I'm looking forward to trying more products from the line.

Do you like the sheer wash of colour?

    1. I'm lucky that I do have pretty strong nails! I take a few different vitamins to help with that :)

  2. Interesting, I've never heard of this brand but Yay to another aussie company! I love sheer nude pinks like these. It's easy to just use them as a sort of gloss for your nails or on top of any other colour to make it more milky.

I've never tried it over top of other colours. I must do that!

  4. Your nails look similar to mine but I can never get that little bit of extra length that you have! Mine always break! I actually really love wearing sheer nail polish. I think its so much easier to upkeep and doesn't look as tacky if it chips a little. I might have to check this out!

  6. I prefer a more opaque polish but that would be lovely for a French mani!
