OSIS+ TEXTURE & VOLUME

✎ Thursday, 10 April 2014
The latest two hair styling products to land on my desk are from the Schwarzkopf Osis+ line. I've never tried anything from this particular line so I was very intrigued by the promise of added volume and texture.
The Osis+ Refresh Dust Texture Bodyfying Dry Shampoo* I was most excited about. The new release comes in a whopping 223g (I was sent a travel size) and is designed to refresh whilst adding texture and volume. I usually use two products separate, a volume powder and then a dry shampoo, but this product is combining the two. The perfect product for those days where we need to dash out the door. I LOVE that this is a two in one. The application process is much easier with the spray dispenser and it does leave that gritty texture at the roots so it gives you a nice hold. If you're not a fan of residues then this may not be the one for you but I find best for achieving long-lasting hold.

It's also worth mentioning that I had a faulty bottle. After about 4-5 uses the spray top got stuck and it continued to release pressure so when I went to use it again there was nothing left in the bottle! I'm sure it was just a default in my personal bottle but I was really disappointed.
Next up is the Osis+ Whipped Wax Texture* which is the best smelling hair product I've ever used. I especially adore the soft whipped soufflé like texture that doesn't feel greasy or thick when working it into the hair. I usually stay clear of waxes because I feel it's impossible to apply to my long hair without weighing it down but this has really changed my view. I rub a little between my hands and then scrunch upward. The airy wax gives my hair a textured look without leaving it crunchy like perhaps a sea salt spray would.

OSIS+ Refresh Dust 223g RRP $25.95
 OSIS+ Whipped Wax 75ml RRP $28.95

  2. The dry shampoo looks good to try! I hope the stock in-store won't do that. I don't tend to use texture-y things on my ends as my hair likes to stay straight haha.

  3. I used to use the Osis+ little root volume booster thing that came out in a weird powder type thing. I liked it but it made my hair feel so unclean all the time!

  5. Nice to know you found great products for your hair. We do stuck this brand on our website, too, by the way. Also, sad to hear about the faulty bottle.

Would have loved to see a hairstyle you've created using these products. Maybe next time ;)
