WHAT'S ON MY FACE #6

✎ Thursday, 8 May 2014

I've been digging affordable products this past week and I've also been loving adding a pop of colour for some added interest whilst still being wearable.

For base I've been trying out the Essence All About Matt! Primer* it's meant to be oil controlling but I'm still testing it out so expect to hear more about that soon. Texture wise it's very smooth and blends into the skin easily. A new favourite light base is the OFRA BB Cream in Light* it provides a good amount of coverage for everyday wear but you can still see my imperfections which I like for day-to-day. I like how it even outs my skin tone, lasts on the skin and doesn't feel cakey. I set everything with the Innoxa Skin Perfecting BB Powder* which is a very smoothing powder and doesn't add too much coverage but sets everything well.

Onto eyes and the Maybelline Big Eyes in Luminous Blue* has been my go-to. I use the two lightest shades over the lid, the dark taupe through the crease and bright blue smudge on the lower lash line. I love the pop of hint of colour without it being too much for everyday. I didn't think I liked the Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye mascara but after slowly working out the brush I'm beginning to enjoy it. I still don't think it's volumising enough for me though.

Lastly for cheeks I've applied my favourite affordable blush ever - Essence Silky Touch Blush in Adorable. It's the perfect everyday flush. On the lips I adore the Rimmel Apocalips in Nova for a pretty pink lip that is fairly wearable for during the day. If you don't have this shade it's definitely one to pick up! It's beautiful.

What do you think of this look?

*was provided to me for consideration - honesty as always!

  1. I've always found the apocalips range to be far too shiny looking for my liking but this colour looks great on you!
