Where I am in the world the weather is in full spring mode although I am slightly disappointed to be putting away the gorgeous deep vampy shade I'm so excited to bring out the vivid coral hues for the warmer months.
Mac Impassioned
When narrowing down my top 5 this was a this always a definite to include in this post because the colour is beautiful. The bright pink is especially unique because although it does have that hint of warmth coral it is still a very 'pink' lipstick. I like lipsticks that make you think ooo is it a pink is it a coral and this does that. It is an amplified formula which means it's extremely opaque and pigmented but it still is creamy to apply with a slightly glossy finish.
Napoleon Perdis Mattestastic Lipstick in 'Lucille'*
This one is a newer one too my collection but I adore the soft coral hue this gives the lips. It is a matte lipstick but it's still really creamy to apply and doesn't tug on the lips. I don't like lipsticks that don't have a point to them as I find them really hard to apply straight from the bullet and get a crisp line so that is a major con for me. I adore the formulation of these, they're really long lasting and comfortable to wear so I'd recommend checking out the range.
Gorgeous Cosmetics Lipstick in Quinn*
This swatch does not do this lipstick justice because on the lips it's such a beautiful intense, orange red shade. I particularly love patting this one down and having it as a matte finish but it does have quite a glossy look when applied.
Savvy Long Lasting Matte Lipstick in Maui
This is such an interesting colour because it's so neon and bright but somehow it has a milky tone to the colour. Regardless this is such a pretty coral that does have slight shimmer through it in the bullet but that's virtually undetectable on the lips. The formulation of these is so lovely, creamy to apply but a matte finish however I do feel like these are the most drying from my picks today.
Shanghai Suzy Miss Christina NEON GUAVA
Say hello to my new best friend. This is from the latest range from Shanghai Suzy and it's such a me colour. A bright intense pink colour with a slight coral hue to it. It looks amazing with just a flick of liner.
What are your favourite brights from the warmer months?

Ohh they are all so pretty, I love Neon Guava, think it's my favourite of the 4 Shanghai Suzy shades I picked.
ReplyDeleteI still need to pick up Impassioned and maybe try something from Gorgeous cosmetics. I'm always loving spring shades, no matter what season! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the shades you chose. I usually stick to gloss in the warmer months because lipsticks just become too high maintenance for me. I really need to try shanghai suzy if they're as good as you say they are!
ReplyDeleteLovely picks! MAC Impassioned looks gorgeous. I've been aiming for more nude lips lately, but you are giving me inspiration for some coral looks :)
