I feel like I'm finally at peace with my skin after months of struggling with blemishes and breakouts (touchwood). I'm the type of person who is pretty hesitate with trying new products whilst my skin is misbehaving. It's not that I have sensitive skin, I think I'm just don't want to make anything worse... It's a 'just in case kinda thing'. Over the past month I've overhauled my routine to better suit my current skin concerns.
GO-TO SKINCARE EXFOLIATING SWIPEYS*
Available from Go-To Skincare $45.95
I have almost completely wiped out manual scrubs by accident but it's been an accidental godsend for my skin. Instead I've been opting for these wipes that are soaked in AHA's every second night and it's improved the texture of my skin an insane amount. Months after breakouts I struggle alot with pigmentation but slowly I'm seeing my skin look more even and brighter and I know these are one of the things that are contributing to that improvement. I'd happily purchase these again in the future. They're gentle but still get the job done.
JURLIQUE NUTRI-DEFINE SUPERIOR RETEXTURISING FACIAL SERUM*
Available from Jurlique RRP $145
On days where I'm not using my swipeys from Go-To I'm applying this serum from Jurlique. I think alternating between the two is what is really helping with my skins hyper pigmentation issues. What I like about this serums is that it's not full of any nasties at all. It contains ginseng root extract and liquorice root extract that help plump up the skin and give it radiance. When I use effective skin like Jurlique it really makes me wonder why I use any sort of skin that isn't natural, all their products are so stunning and work amazing!
LA MAV PORE REFINING TONER*
Available from One Store RRP $23.70
Another natural product I've opted for over my Dermalogica Clear Start Toner is this one from La Mav. This is designed to help refine the pores and help the skin maintain the skin's natural pH balance so essentially it's going to help pores without stripping the skin - yay! I've been using this one for about two weeks and although I haven't noticed a huge difference in my pore size it is a gorgeous product to use. I would go as far to say it's the best toner I've used that is targeted towards us girls with combination oily skin and it's natural yay!
EVOLVE GENTLE CLEANSING MELT*
Available from Amorganica RRP $22.00
This isn't a product that is targeted towards combination/oily skin, it's actually for normal/dry skins, but the best thing I've ever done is ignore (most) cleansers that are targeted towards my skin type. This product has changed the way I cleanse my skin and I'm so excited about it. Evolve Organic Beauty isn't a brand I'm super familiar with but if this product is any reflection to the quality of the line I want it all. The cleanser is a thick gel that I warm between my fingers then apply onto dry skin and it's the most amazing product to cleanse with. Afterwards my skin feels plump, cleansed and hydrated. If you're sick of cleansers stripping your skin and leaving your skin feeling tight then this is one to try! Note: I don't use this for make up removal but rather for actually cleansing the skin.
MIOD EXTRA HYDRATING BALM*
Available from Amorganica RRP $35.00
Miod is another brand the lovely people over at Amorganica have introduced me too. Towards the beginning of the month I had a really bad few weeks of dry patches around my face and this is what transformed my skin back to normal. This isn't a moisturiser or lotion texture but instead it has that multi-purpose balm texture which usually I wouldn't dare apply all over my face but I was desperate. I'm so glad I took the plunge because it's made a HUGE difference to my skin and it is one of the most hydrating products I've ever used.
What products are you enjoying at the moment?
*some of these products may have been sent to me for consideration.

I nearly fell over at the price of the Jurlique serum hahaha. I really want to to try the Go-To range, once I use up some more of my own skincare.
ReplyDeleteThe exfoliating swipeys sound so good. I haven't tried anything AHA yet.
ReplyDeleteI've heard some amazing things about both La Mav and Go-To but haven't tried anything from either brand. They're both on my wishlist though!
ReplyDeleteMy skin has been stupid this month and i am starting to breakout (I think hormonal and stress). Hopefully it will calm down soon but I am thinking a facial and a good solid routine might help (at the moment I am all over the shop cause I work stupid full time hours and have no routine. boo)
