What a month here at More Than Adored! I'm so very excited about our relaunch that will be happening very soon (ekkk!) but for now here are my top beauty picks for the month of September.
We'll start with skincare because I've been dying to mention the Stewart & Claire Coconut with Mango Butter Lip Balm* all month but I just haven't had the right feature to include it in! You all know I've extremely loyal to my Lanolips Ointments and they're pretty much all I use but sometimes I do want something a little lighter, that is still moisturising, particularly during the day. This is the answer! It's made with all organic products and is so so so moisturising without feeling thick on the lips. Amorganica stock a huge range of different flavours so definitely check them out! My skin has finally came back to normal land after months of being crazy (I spoke about the briefly here) but I can honestly accredit that partly to the QV Gentle Cleanser*. This is another product I've been waiting to talk about because it's been a really fantastic basic cleanser for me to use. I generally use this in the mornings or if I haven't been wearing any make up throughout the day. It's light, soap free, moisturising and really cleanses the skin without stripping it at all. It's one of those products I've become quite reliant on.
Onto the make up bits and I quickly need to shout out the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation which I've gone back to after some bad experiences with other foundations not lasting all day and leaving me looking like an oily mess. This just works and although I'm really not impressed with the colour range it is a fantastic long-lasting foundation. I won't say too much about the L'oreal Extradonaire in Rose Melody* because I did a full post on it here but it's pretty much the only lip colour I've been wearing. A product I wasn't sure I'd love is the Napoleon Perdis Contour Palette* but that contour shade is absolute perfection and it's one I'd definitely recommend it for lighter skin tones. I feel as though lately I haven't had much luck with liquid liners until the Gorgeous Cosmetics iLine Pen* came into my life. It's so super thin yet flexible but not too flexible so it really is fantastic for getting a fine line along the lashes.
Last of all my tan this month has been hugely credited to the amazing St.Tropez Self Tan Express* which is new out in Australia this month. You may remember that I really didn't get on with the original mousse from St.Tropez so I had my reservations when trying this however I'm really impressed and I do think it's worth the money. It's super easy to apply and you can wait either 1 hour for a light tan, 2 for a medium and 3 for a dark colour so it's great for those of us who don't like sleeping in fake tan. What sets it apart from other quick developing tans is how it lasts on the skin. I find this lasts at least 5 days without any sort of upkeep!
What products have you been enjoying this month?!

I need to try that tanner!! It sounds amazing! Does it fade evenly?

Hi Becky! It does if you make sure to moisturise your skin otherwise it can go a bit patchy as the days go on. I have it on at the moment and I've had it on 6 days without moisturising and it's gone slightly patchy particularly on my legs where I'm most dry but until today it was looking fine :) xx
DeleteSome lovely faves!
ReplyDeleteCan you do a post on some of the recent foundations that didn't work for your skin??
xxx Kat @ Katness
Yes definitely! I'll pop it on my list. X
DeleteEeeek very exciting about your relaunch, can't wait to see what you've got in store!! I really really really want that NP Contour Palette and I actually don't know what I haven't picked it up yet, excuse me while I race down to the shops :) xx

I have been obsessed with Clinique even better and Neutrogena Hydraboost. I have also been loving my tangle teaser cause my hair is having some serious "issues" ha!~

Eeee I'm so excited for your relaunch Sarah! Great picks, I've been meaning to try the Covergirl foundation but just have so many others I want to try, and so many at home I need to finish haha! I really want to try the L'oreal glosses as well.

Can you share some more about the tanner? If you haven't already. I'm confused about the 1 hour for light tan, 2 hour for medium tan etc. Are you saying that you wash it off after an hour if you want a light tan?
ReplyDeleteI definitely will add that too my list but yes - you leave it on for 1 hour for a light colour, 2 hours for a medium colour and then 3 hours for a deep tan. I'll do a full review this month for you :) xx
DeleteI found that Covergirl foundation didn't have the amount of coverage I wanted which sucks because the formulation was lovely. The Napoleon palette looks gorgeous! I swatched it in Target a week ago and loved the pigmentation. xx
