DON’T BE SCARED! I know what you’re thinking and that I’m CRAZY but hold onto your hats because if you’re curvy you definitely can still wear a cute crop there is just a few things to look out for.
I never thought I’d be writing a post like this because there is no denying I am a curvy lady. I have size D-DD boobs, a small waist and a pretty decent Kimmy-K bootay so the whole crop thing has never been on my radar. It wasn’t until I found this Off The Shoulder Top from The Hidden Boutique that I thought maybe I could make it work. This top elastic around the bottom of the hem so it’s dreamy to tuck into a skirt as it doesn’t slide up and you don’t have lots of excess material to tuck in – win! The way it skims over the chest means that for once I can have my decollate on show without my boobs.
The thing about crop tops is that a large portion of the ones on the market are designed for smaller, more petite women however there are so many awesome options like the one I’m wearing out there too! Don’t be scared of trying something on if it’s not full length it’ll either work or it out and you’ll get a giggle. For me a crop is best teamed with something high waisted and this delicious Denim Skirt was a bargain at $10 a few months ago. I love the way it hugs the body in contrast to the free flowing top.
I also like to add height when wearing a midi skirt with some heels. These are Lodess by Top End and are the most comfortable shoes because the heel height isn’t too crazy. They are going to be a staple in the warmer months for everything from BBQ’s to meetings. The leather is so buttery soft and the colour is one of those shades that’ll go with absolutely everything.
