Now that it’s winter here in Australia my skin has been feeling the cold. Not only do have random dry patches around my eyes and nose I also am blessed with that horrible tight dehydrated skin feel most mornings. The past few weeks I’ve introduced some products back into my routine that have been SAVING my skin!
My absolute favourite hydrating switch has been the Skinstitut Moisture Defence. This is a gel based moisturiser that I’m using during the day in place of my usual mattifying moisturisers I opt for in the summer. It is INCREDIBLE. It is extra hydrating, sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t feel a sticky residue behind making it an ace base for the morning time. The only downside is that it doesn’t contain SPF but my primer does so I’m covered there. If you have normal-combination skin this would definitely be one to look into!
You all know about my love for hydrating treatments and although I will sing the praises of the Go-To Skincare Face Hero time and time again the Rosehip Plus Rosehip Oil has been great as a targeted treatment. Lately I’ve really not enjoyed the texture of rosehip oil but as a targeted treatment it’s a product I can rely on too fix any sort of dry patch SUPER quickly. I team that with the Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster which is such an awesome product! I opt to mixing 4-6 drops with my night time moisturiser and it gives my skin a real boost because it’s enriched with things like hyaluronic acid. If you’re after a super intense boost you can apply this directly on the skin but I feel as though mixing it with my night cream gives my skin the TLC it needs. A product that could definitely work for all skin types!

Ah I love TBS Vitamin E moisturisers :) x
I have an unopened Skinstitut Moisture Defense in my bathroom cupboard from my last visit to Laser Clinics Aus. I’ll have to crack it open! I’ve been loving the Skinstitut Eye Cream which I also grabbed. Very very hydrating for the undereye, I’ve been getting really dry under my eyes too and this is brilliant for daytime under makeup. Have to say, Skinstitut seems like a really great brand and at a pretty decent price point too.

Ah I haven’t used it in a while but how good is it?!
Winter and my skin are definitely not friends at all. My skin is dry and flaky and just generally isn’t looking great. I’ve found that using a great exfoliator – I use one from Skinstitut- and a great Rosehip Oil has been working wonders for me.

Ah I still haven’t tried that one! x
I love anything hyaluronic acid so the Dermalogica Hydrating booster sounds awesome! I know what you mean about the feel of rosehip oil but that’s usually solved once mixed with a good amount of my lotion :)
