A beauty blunder I’ve been facing for years is the appearance of full lashes. Even though I have longer lashes sometimes when I put mascara on they just look flat and droopy. Here are some tips to creating the illusion of full, luscious lashes.
The first tip I discovered was applying a kohl eyeliner, my favourites are the Eye Of Horus Goddess Pencils to your tight line. It’s not as scary as it sounds! I find closing my eye gently onto the pencil and then smudging back and forth the most affective way to apply pencil to the area. This really helps to give the lash line a seamless appearance therefore making your lashes look full and flirty. I also like to concentrate some of that product on the outer corner to elongate the eye.
Next up you want to curl your lashes. This is a serious game-changer if you’re a fellow #droopylashgal and I never realised how much of a difference it made until I lost my Shu Umera Eyelash curler when travelling so I immediately ordered another. Giving your lashes a quick squeeze with one of these boys isn’t going to chop them off, although I do recommend being gentle, but instead it’s going to give them a lift and open up your eyes – yes!
Last up is applying mascara which is a bit of a no brainer but they really do give your lashes some serious volume and thickness if applied correctly. I’m not going to explain how to apply mascara because honestly I find different methods work for different mascaras but for the They’re Real by Benefit I find blinking then twisting super affective for getting right down to the root of the lash. It’s important to remember to coat the whole lash rather then just the ends for the best results.
