NEW HAIR

I love my hair and being blonde can be a little boring from time to time. I’m completely guilty of going to my hairdresser and saying ‘just the usual’ every. single. time. My last visit two weeks ago, I was feeling a little spontaneous and let my hairdresser do her thing with no real idea what I wanted apart from something along the lines of ‘ombre with no red, warm hues’. I walked out with this do.
When I first got home I hated it but that’s pretty common for me because I don’t like my hair dead straight and flat. The next day I was convinced I needed to go back and change it but my boyfriend convinced me to wait until I’d had a chance to do it myself (what a gem). As the colour has settled I do like but I don’t love it - I just don’t feel 100% me. I know the change isn’t super dramatic but it is for a tried and trued blonde, I am happy I kept my ends super blonde because it makes me feel a little more secure.
It has only been two weeks so six washes and, if I’m completely honest, I’ve only properly styled it two or three times so with time I may grow to be in love with it. I’ve appreciated the spontaneous change but I can’t help but miss ‘the usual’ and I’m considering go back lighter next time I visit my hairdresser. I’m just glad I didn’t decide to chop my hair off.
Oh and excuse my dirty hair - a girls gotta take advantage of natural light when she can :)

    I’m the exact same, ‘just the usual’ is something I saw way too often to my hair dresser. I really like the change, really suits you!

    Your hair looks so pretty, it really suits you :) I feel like a change. I just hate how fast my hair fades and when it does fade it goes into the same horrible mixed colour haha.

    It looks good! :) But I know what you mean, I always want a bit of a change when I go to the hairdresser, but whenever I walk out with something more than “just a trim”, I hate it. Guess I’ll be sticking to my hair! Haha.

    I actually love it! I think it really suits you. I completely understand the feeling of being bored with your hair though - I’ve always wanted to get the chop but I’m not brave enough haha. I’m also guilty of saying ‘the usual’ to the hairdresser. I’m a creature of habit ;-) xx

    I really like it! I think it frames your face really nicely. I think it would still look really nice (and maybe make you feel better) if it was a little bit lighter at the top…only a shade or two, and then it would blend a bit better with the super light bits at the bottom.
    I’ve been toying with changing my hair colour…8 years of bleach has left me with very unhealthy hair (despite all my best efforts) but I love being blonde and am kind of scared of changing it hahaha.

    I like this style on you - I was actually considering doing the same. Going back to the hairdresser every couple of weeks to get my roots done is adding up so it would be awesome to give that a rest for at least a little while :-)

    Your hair looks great! I know it’s a bit of a change from your usual blonde, but it does suit you. It maybe just requires a bit of time to get used to?

    I’m just like you, so I empathise! I actually walked into my HD 1.5 months ago and asked for a change…either a cut, or colour (ombre). He refused to cut it, so ombre it was! :P
