There haven’t been too many releases for the month of November however the things that have come are knock-your-socks-off releases. So grab a cup of tea because as usual this one is going to be a long one.

Skincare has seen some really fantastic affordable goodies hit the market starting off with the Skin Theory line which is by the same company that does the affordable make up brand Colour Theory. They’ve bought out a small range of product that are super affordable and my picks are the eye cream and exfoliating polish. Both are gentle and basic but they do the job so they’re perfect for anyone who is on a tight budget. Palmers have released a new face range to their line and I was lucky enough to be sent most of the products. It focuses on using ethically sourced products to help the skin remain youthful. My picks so far are the mask, Palmer’s have always done masks well, the cleanser/make up remover (should just be called a cream cleanser really) and the facial scrub. I’m excited to try out more of the range in the coming weeks! Skinceuticals have released a new Antioxidant Lip Repair which is a cream product you dispense from a pump and apply over the lips. It feels incredible and definitely helps repair chapped lips. I prefer to use this as a day treatment because it’s so light.

A new brand to hit Aussie shores retailing in Target is Nip & Fab. I was super excited about trying the brand because it’s super affordable and is raved about by UK bloggers. The product I was gifted to try is the Glycolic Scrub Fix which is a triple action that has both glycol and salicylic acid in to help really texture and clean out the pores. It’s still really gentle but effectively so I can see why it’s been so raved about. If you haven’t noticed exfoliating in all shapes and forms is big in the beauty industry at the moment. The newest trend is these Pure Complexion Facial Sponges that are made from Konjac. The are hard until placed until water which they then soft and you use it with your cleanser. Do I love it? No. Do I think it’s a fantastic affordable option for exfoliating? Yes. new-in-november-perfumeThere have been a few fragrance releases this month and my pick has to be Guess Dare. It comes in this gorgeous rose gold bottle (not translated on camera at all) and it’s just the perfect scent for summer. It’s fresh, has notes of coconut and jasmine but overall it’s my summer scent for sure! My next favourite has to be Just Just Cavalli for her which is a bit more floral, warm and sexy. It’s very sexy actually but it’s a lovely scent and would make a gorgeous present for your bestie. The last release that I love is the Avon Femme, it’s very playful fresh and floral but not overpowering at all. I think this would make a really fantastic first fragrance for a teenager. new-in-november-makeupOnto make up and I’ll very briefly mention the amazing Covergirl XL Nail Gels because I have a full review coming tomorrow on these but essentially they are amazing and so worth picking up once they hit the shelves. The Body Shop have released a few new bits for Christmas including this palette. I’ve never tried The Body Shop make up before but I have to say I’m pretty impressed with these shadows! They’re pigmented, easy to blend and last all day. They’ve also released a cheek and lip stain which I’ve been using on my cheeks.. I’m still getting the hang of applying it so any tips are welcome!! The last thing I wanted to mention was Glameyes by Manicare have some new styles added to the range. I’m currently working with Manicare on a campaign, which has been super fun, and I’ve been testing out some of the new lashes. My favourites are the Gisele and Candice lashes, both are still natural enough but give you volume and that extra oomph! new-in-november-hair-bodyOnto hair and body which there have been some wow releases. As usual The Body Shop have released some Christmas exclusive scent and this year one they’re doing is the Glazed Apple which I’m just loving! It smells fresh and yummy. Another body product that rocks is the Jergens Natural Glow, yes that’s right you can now find Jergens in Australia – how amazing is that? This is a tinted moisturiser for the body that’ll give you a bit of a glow and slight colour to the skin. The formulation is fantastic and I’m enjoying it for maintaining my proper weekly tan I do! For a while there I felt like I was in a bit of a hair rut with my shampoo and conditioner but then I found the amazing Matrix Oil Wonders duo. Now I think a misconception the marketing creates with this is that it’s going to replace every leave in treatment you currently use which is incorrect, it won’t. What it will do it be a gorgeous duo that leaves your hair feeling silky, soft and detangled. I still find I have to follow up with an oil or leave in treatment but I never rely on my shampoo and conditioner for that sort of nourishment so that’s fine by me.

The last hair release is the Kevin.Murphy Smooth.Again Leave In Treatment. I’ve been really enjoying the KM range and this was just another product I really enjoyed. I apply it on damp hair and it stops most of the frizz I get when air drying. You can feel this in your hair as it air dries but once your hair is dry you can brush it out quite easily. new-in-november-failsSome bits that came out that didn’t hit the nail on the head. The first is some of the Skin Theory line which I kind of expected from such a budget skincare brand. Although I do really enjoy the other products I mentioned the cleanser was a little stripping and the day cream just didn’t absorb as well as I would like. EcoTools have also released a new brush for using with BB/CC creams and I just haven’t worked out the best way to use it. I find it a slower to apply anything with it so I’m looking for a new use for this one. A hair release I wasn’t a fan of was the Cedel Coconut Bay Hairspray. It smells amazing but it just left my hair looking a little crunchy because the spray applicator wasn’t the best.

Lady Gaga bought out a new perfume that I really wished I love but the woody tones of this isn’t something I’m used too yet. I think it’s one that is super sophisticated and woodsy which is different to anything I wear so it’ll take some getting used too. For make up Australis released their Bronzed Girl palette which is great for shimmer shades however I find they can apply patchy or take alot of building up to get an intense shade look. They are super intense but just more work then other shadows I usually use. The last release I couldn’t get to work for me was the Maxfactor Masterpiece Transform mascara. This gives amazing length and volume when first applied however it just doesn’t hold a curl unfortunately and for me that’s a deal breaker.
