EYE CREAMS FOR YOUNGER EYES

A common thought is that eye creams are for those with older skin who are looking to rid crows feet and fine lines but can’t be further than the truth. Although that type of skin can benefit immensely from an eye cream it’s still super important for those for us with younger eyes to incorporate one into our routines.

You may still be thinking ‘oh she’s talking rubbish’ but when I incorporated the Clarins Extra-Firming Eye Lifting Perfecting Serum it changed my eye area. No longer did it feel dry, crapey or look so sallow but instead it was so smooth making concealer a dream to apply. This one does a bit of everything including brightening, depuffs and injecting a little bit of moisture - it’s not super intense so I prefer this one for mornings and I’ve been using it for close to two years. Another similar product is Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream which is a bit of a multipurpose one as well but I would say it’s slightly more moisturising and brightening so if that’s something you’re looking for I highly recommend saving on the Clarins and going for this one.

If you’re looking for some serious depuffing in the morning you can’t go past the Arbonne Soothing Eye Gel that has a really cool metal ball applicator you swipe under the eye for instant coolness. It’s a gel product so you’re not going to get a serious kick of moisture but if it’s a regular occurrence that you wake up with puffy eyes you must try this one!

Onto those of you who are looking for a good kick of moisture and the first I recommend is the Racinne Aqua Blanc Eye Care. This isn’t too thick so if you’re wanting to use it day and night it works however I reserve moisturising formulas for the evening. The applicator on this one is a little gimmicky and I prefer to just pump it out onto my finger to apply but the formulation is really fantastic. Another super hydrating eye cream that’ll fix any dry spot is the Burt’s Bees Intense Eye Cream. I recommend only using this at night because the formulation is so thick and can take a little working into the skin. This is intense so it really will transform any dry flaky bits you may have around your eye area.

What a great post! Definitely have to check some of those eye creams out! Until a year ago I thought eye creams were for older skins but I learnt we need to use them too! They’re important! :) xx

Totally agreed! I used to think eye creams were for ‘old people’, but now my eyes feel so dry that it has completely become a staple for me. The Origins Ginzing one sounds amazing, and I reaaaally want to try it! I could use some brightening in the area :P
