TOP 4 SUMMER CLEANSERS

Whether your a summer loving babe or not the hot weather changes our skin and we have to do a bit of a rejig. Here are our top 4 cleansers that’ll have you covered when finding something new this summer.

If you’re wanting something basic…. the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is for you. This is a gel cleanser that does lather up once you start working it into the skin. In the past I’ve found gel cleansers to be quite stripping but this refreshes the skin making it feel very clean without the tight horrible feeling. The consistency of the gel is very light and almost fluffy (it’s so fluffy!) so you only need a small amount for your whole face.

If you’re wanting something scrubby… you must try The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean Scrub. I always find that mid-week my skin feels a bit blah in the summer and this scrub just unclogs everything really thoroughly without drying out the skin. I adore the smell of tea-tree oil too so I’m a big fan of this one. Oh and the scrub isn’t too abrasive either!

If you’re after something refreshing…. A newer product too me is the 100% Pure Jasmine Green Tea Cleanser. This foams up once you begin to lather but oh. my. god this feels amazing on the skin. It’s super fresh, the scent is just stunning an it almost feels moisturising which is strange for a foaming cleanser. I absolutely adore this one and it’s free from any nasties like harsh detergents.

If you need a serious detox… This one is strictly from combination/oily girls and even then I wouldn’t use this exclusive. The Dermalogica Clay Cleanser has a kaolin clay base that helps purify the skin and remove any excess oils. I absolutely love this once or twice a week but anymore then that and I feel as though it can be drying. If you’re super oily this is you jam - just make sure you moisturise afterwards!

What are your favourite cleansers for the summer months?

Ooh lovely picks! I totally agree about needing a good scrub, especially in the summer months where everything feels sweaty, grimy and just clogged! The Tea tree range sounds amazing - I’ve been meaning to try it out! The Dermalogica clay one sounds good for a once a week detox!

your photos are so beautiful!! the clay cleanser sounds like something that I could use on my skin as I like products to really ‘get into my face’ if that makes sense haha. I just feel like they make a different with my pores and oil on my skin. Thank you for this post, going to go look for it!!X
