Jurlique is a brand we love over here at More Than Adored and it’s a quality brand that you can always rely on. From treatments to moisturisers there really is a product to suit every skin type and concern.
My first experience with Jurlique was with some of their new cleansers released earlier this year. The Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gel is one designed for combination/oily skin and helps unclog pores whilst gently exfoliating with tiny micro-beads. Typically I’m not a fan of half-way-there exfoliators but this was a really refreshing cleanser to use of a night time after you’ve taken all your make up off. It’s very gentle but you still get that ‘clean’ sensation. For removing make up I’m all about the cleansing oils and the Purely Age-Defying Nourishing Cleansing Oil is a great one that leaves the skin feeling nourished. It’s a lighter texturised oil so it’d be perfect for anyone who doesn’t usually enjoy that typical oil texture on the skin. The latest cleanser I’ve been trying from the brand is the Herbal Recovery Antioxidant Cleansing Mousse which is one that dispenses as a foam. This is unique to the other foam cleansers because it’s actually infused with lots of oils like jojoba and rosehip so it breaks down any remnants of make up really well. It’s very gentle and almost leaves the skin feeling hydrated which is a refreshing change as my experience in the past of foaming cleanser has been very stripping.
Treatment wise I’ve only really tried the Nutri-Define Serum Superior Retexturising Facial Serum and this is my favourite range from the brand. This treatment is an anti-ageing treatment so it’s designed to target sagging, lines, wrinkles, elasticity and dehydration. You may be wondering why as a 21 year old I’m using a product like this? Well I find that I have quite noticeable dehydration lines around my eyes and forehead plus I find a retexturing product like this helps speed up the turnover of skin cells therefore overnight your skin becomes brighter AND will reducing hyper-pigmentation! This particular product is expensive and I do think most brands do something similar so I’m unsure if it’s something I would repurchase however if you’re after a more natural offering this is a fantastic option. Another treatment product I’ve been using is the Jurlique Moisture Replenishing Mask. It’s a really gorgeous product for soothing and moisturising the skin. I particular love using this post-breakout as it hydrates the areas of skin the may be drier from spot treatments A great one if you’re after a no-fuss, gentle and super hydrating treatment.
For facial moisturisers I have a bit of a love affair with Jurlique. As I said before the Nutri-Define line is a favourite and the Rejuvenating Overnight Cream is an absolute staple for me. It’s super rich, nourishing and hydrating. I notice such a difference in my skin when I use this consistency - I would recommend it for all skin types! The Multi-Correcting Day Cream is the corresponding day cream from the range and I’ve been holding onto it for the winter months as I found it a little too rich for my combination/oily skin in the warmer seasons. The other night cream I love is the Purely White Night Cream which is the range targeted towards people struggling with pigmentation, dark spots and discolouration… So me. This has really been formulated perfectly taking into consideration most people suffering those problems are going to, most of the time, have combination skin so it’s very light whilst still being a heavier texture then what you’d typically use in the day. I alternate this with the Rejuvenating Night Cream and it’s a match made in heaven! I didn’t get on with the Purely White Day Cream as well as the other products. I found it very sticky on the skin, horrible to blend and it took ages to dry down.
Onto some body products and I really love the Jojoba Carrier Oil for a good hit of hydration after a shower or popped into a warm bath. It leaves the skin feeling smooth and supple. It is pricey but a lovely treat-your-self product all the same. Similarly the Jasmine Body Cream is just stunning. I’ve never really appreciated expensive body products until this year and I find if I spend more on a body product that I love I’m more likely to use it daily. This is one of those products! The scent is gorgeous and it’s a perfect balance of being hydrating but not being tacky on the skin. Another range I’m thoroughly impressed with is the Sun Specialist Range. Both Isaac and I used the SPF40 High Protection Sun Lotion and the After Sun Replenishing Moisturising Lotion like crazy throughout the summer. The lotion is great on the face OR body and same with the after sun. Both are products I will happily repurchase every season!
Overall Jurlique is a gorgeous brand and I can honestly say there has only been one product that I haven’t adored so far. It’s become a brand I rely heavily on and can always turn too if I have a skin issue with the confidence they’ll have something to help. I’ve always had a preconception that Jurlique was largely for older skin types but there really is a range for everyone!
