A new collection from MAC is the MAC x Brooke Candy which is a collaboration with a rapper Brooke Candy (I hadn’t heard of her before… Does that make me uncool? It’s a fun deep, vampy sort of collection consisting of two lipstick and a liquid liner. Here are my thoughts on the two lipsticks :)
Let’s talk about the red first! Mac Mind Control lipstick an amplified finish and described as a ‘bright cherry red’. I have to agree with that it’s cool with a tiny (when I say tiny I mean tiny) golden micro-shimmer that creates a gorgeous sheen on the lips. It remind me of Russian Red but a lighter more punchy version with a lighter consistency. It’s that type of red that makes your teeth look incredibly white, will last 5 hours and won’t overly dry the lips out like say Ruby Woo would.
As for Which Witch it’s a unique lipstick to say the least! Described as a ‘deep plum’ also with an amplified finish it has more of a blackened purple hue with very subtle plum undertones. Again this also has a tiny bit of micro-shimmer that just creates a sheen rather then a shimmery appearance on the lips. This one takes a little more building on the lips to get a punchy colour but it still wears incredibly well without drying the lips out at all. I don’t actually have a shade in my collection like it so expect to see a post with this one on VERY soon.
