Since finishing off my beloved Illamasqua Matte Primer I’ve made the switch to the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer for everyday wear. It’s not as if I haven’t loved this product in the past, it’s actually one I constantly recommend to others, but this week I’ve truly appreciated how it works. It’s so smoothing and gorgeous to apply but it really makes a difference to wear of your foundation. Another product that I’ve always loved but I’m now really appreciating how amazing it is comes from L’oreal with their Super Liner Blackbuster Liner*. I know this particularly liner isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (my best friend Bonnie hates it) but I find it so easy to create a flick with that I can’t stop using it. I just angle the pen and it creates an instant flick. I admit it does take a little bit extra concentration when wanting to create a thin line right across the lid but I usually struggle with the flick so it suits me to have a helping hand with that element. You know those samples you receive but never really pull out? This Youngblood Pink Diamond Pressed Eyeshadow came with an order I did late last year and it ended up way back in the back of my draw until a recent clear out which I regret so much! This eyeshadow is the most gorgeous highlight shade I’ve ever used and I will definitely be purchasing the full size once I’m finished this.
Now onto some really random bits and we’ll start off with the most random and probably the least glamorous. The Nad’s Ingrow Solution* was a product I was in denial about needing, hence why I never purchased myself, however since receiving it I’ve been using it in areas I shave and it’s really transformed my skin. Probably a bit TMI but I used to find that I had little raised bumps that weren’t really red or rash like but still noticeably ‘not right’ after I had shaved. This has put an end too all that and my skin is loving me for it. If you have any sort of skin irritation due to shaving I’d highly recommend this. I’ve never thought I’d be featuring a body wash in this series but the Ren Seaweed and Sage Body Wash has literally stolen my heart. I’m a sucker for anything seaweed scented and this is just heavenly to use everyday. I don’t know whether it’ll be something I repurchase over and over but I do know that this will be something I pick up in the future as a little treat. If you love seaweed scents then you’ll love this.
Last up is the Fudge Big Hair Elevate Styling Powder* which I’ve been using non-stop throughout my roots for a little extra volume. It really holds the volume but can easily be brushed out and restyled if needed.
