The past few months has seen a bunch of new releases from pharmacy brand Physicians Formula including loads of powder products, some eyeliners and even more unique base offerings as well. I’m a huge fan of the brand so I’ve picked out three powder products to share with you all today.
Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Powder
I haven’t tried the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Powders put I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of a illuminating powder. The reason I haven’t ventured into those type of powders is because I have combination/oily skin and I’ve always instantly assumed that this will make my make up look even more horrible. Luckily I’ve been proven wrong by this guy! Now this isn’t a perfect powder and you can definitely go overboard when applying it especially if you’re using a dense kabuki. I prefer to use a large fluffy powder brush, like the one above, and dust all over. The finish is definitely more illuminating then your regular mattifying powder but it still does a fairly decent job at setting the make up. My gripe with this is that it can look shimmer when wearing it throughout the day - as if the powder disappears and you’re left with the shimmery particles all over your face. Maybe that is where the Hourglass would be better? It’s definitely got me even more tempted to try the Hourglass offerings anyway!
Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Beauty Balm Bronzer & Blush for Light/Medium
I love these kind of products because they’re so multi-use! You can use both shades separately or swirl them together which is my favourite way to do things. Formulation wise these are smooth, very pigmented and easy to blend. The bronzing side I would only use for warming up the complexion as it does have a little bit of shimmery running throughout it as does the blush. Both give a gorgeous glow to the skin!
Physicians Formula Glow-Boosting Season to Season Bronzer
If there is one thing this brand does well it’s powder and multi-use powders at that. This bronzer comes with four different shades that are designed to give the user the ability to customise the deepness of the shade which is a genius concept. I generally stick to the lighter side because I’m pretty pale and warm up the skin - the finish is so lovely and natural it’s pretty much the only thing I’ve been reaching for lately. It does have some shimmer throughout at the moment due to the overspray Physicians Formula do (I really don’t like they do that) but I think the tone would be okay to contour with once through the shimmery layer. If there is an affordable bronzer to buy it’s this one!
