Shanghai Suzy lipsticks are quickly becoming the only lipsticks I wear. We’re now three collections in and the new spring/summer shades that have just been released have blown me away… Again! Unlike the AW14 collection the Nourish formulation returns with two of the eight shade being nourish whilst the rest boast the regular matte finish. As always these lipstick smell like Hubba Bubba which I love and although they’re matte in finish they’re creamy, easy to apply and wear well throughout the day. Each lipstick is highly pigmented and unique to the other collections Shanghai Suzy has released in the past, something I was unsure would be pulled off this time around but I’m so freaking impressed. As my collection of Shanghai Suzy grows so does my love for the brand (and Jo the mastermind behind it all!) every single lipstick that I’ve ever purchase/received I’ve worn and loved - and I own every single lipstick ever released so that’s saying something. Before we get into the swatches it’s worth mentioning I haven’t worn every shade for a whole day because I only received these on Tuesday BUT my past experiences with Shanghai Suzy means I’m confident in telling you all you need some of these in you life.
Miss Leah Baby Cocoa: this is one of the nourish formulations and I’m so glad that this was a nourish finish over a matte. If it had been a matte finish I think it would’ve been a bit chalky on dry lips but the nourish formula means that it glides on seamlessly. Baby Cocoa is such an accurate description of the shade because it’s that perfect mix of brown and mauve that makes a really flattering nude.
Miss Bree Pink Blush: the perfect everyday pink shade that isn’t too much but still gives you a gorgeous hint of colour. I think this will be my new ‘Miss Sally Watermelon’ from this collection. (FYI Miss Sally Watermelon has been repromoted so get in quick to grab yours!)
Miss Olivia Apricot: this is the other nourish formulations and again, I’m stoked that this is the nourish formulation over the matte! This is a light orange shade and I’m not really sure it suits me. I’ve never really owned anything like this but I’m excited to play around with it more and make it work for me.
Miss Ally Amethyst: the show stopper of the collection is this bad boy! I’m actually going to Yeezus next week and I think this will be the what I wear. I’ve never owned a purple shade that’s this bright so I was actually shocked at how amazing it looked on the lips! I think the tone and brightness is perfect.
Miss Cristina Neon Guava: LOVE this kind of colour for summer and I don’t think it would’ve been a true spring/summer collection without one of these type of shades included. It’s the perfect bright coral colour for summer and I know I’ll get alot of wear out of it. It reminds me alot of Mac Party Parrot but maybe a touch lighter but still great alternative.
Miss Courtney Electric Flamingo: I’m usually not one for cool tone pinks and I don’t think this will ever be my most worn but I do really love it. I can just see this teamed with a simple eyeliner flick being the perfect simple summer look.
Miss Mia Foxy Hibiscus: a complete ‘me’ shade. This is the perfect balance between pink and red that makes your teeth looking amazing. Love it!
Miss Nicole Burgundy Brown: when I opened this I was like WOAH because it’s not something I would purchase in store but the funny thing is it actually doesn’t look bad on - much to my surprise! I think I’ll do a look with this soon to show you how I wear it because although it looks super dark and intense it looks gorgeous on so I definitely would experiment more with getting this to work for me.
I cannot recommend these lipsticks enough and at $12.95 they’re a steal. In past I’ve spent $65 (or more) on a lipstick but you can buy the whole collection for $65 and have every shade you could ever need for the spring and summer. As usual the formulation is gorgeous and the colour range is stunning. My favourite shade so far are definitely Miss Ally Amethyst, Miss Mia Foxy Hibachis and Miss Leah Baby Cocoa however there isn’t a shade I don’t like. I’m so excited to wear these throughout the coming months! I cannot recommend Shangahi Suzy lipsticks enough!

Ah these look amazing! Love the shades they always bring out. I have to keep reminding myself that they are in fact super affordable, but they look like they could be high end!

Beautiful photos Sarah!! I absolutely love Shanghai Suzy as well, such a steal for the price! I think I’m going to grab the Baby Cocoa, Neon Guava and Hibiscus… Will have to see if she is still doing the 4-for-3 and get the Pink Blush as well!

Those are stunning! I didn’t know that brand. It’s a shame they don’t ship in Canada!

Yay! Thank you for a much anticipated post!!! My faves are Miss Mia, Miss Cristina and Miss Olivia!
Beautiful shades, but my favourite has to be the first one! Bright colours aren’t the best for me, so neutrals, browns and plums are more appropriate! :)

the swatches are amazing
The purple and coffee colored lippies look divine!
While I adore the purple shade, it’s a colour I don’t think I could wear in public. It looks amazing on others though. All of the colours are beautiful.
I have never heard of the brand before, but I am loving the look of all of those shades. You’re swatches are amazing - thanks for the review!
