Maxfactor have recently launched a new lip range called the Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipsticks which has designed to be an intense bold colour with a cashmere soft feel. Are they as good as they sound?
The trend we see coming through affordable, drugstore brand lip ranges is really creamy products that are claiming to be long-lasting as well. Instead of the more sheer formulations we’ve seen in the past brands are releasing super bold ranges which is an interesting concept – can a bold lip product be super creamy but still long-lasting? The concept of having a nourishing formulation with oils ands all that comfy stuff is appealing but whether it can be executed was a worry for me.
I first tested out Just Deluxe the true vibarant red – go big or go home right? The formulation is exactly what it claims to be on the packaging. Smooth, glides on the lips without any tugging and has a bold colour with a creamy finish. Most of you will know when going bold I prefer to have a matte finish to ensure nothing ends up smeared across my face so that creamy, satin finish had me concerned. Throughout the day I caught myself checking my make up WAY more than I would usually however it did last super, super well. When eating you need to be careful but I was pleasantly surprised by how it never seemed to smudge or anything at all – win!
This range isn’t for everyone however if you’re not a fan of matte lipsticks as you find them a little drying this is one I would recommend because you get high impact with a comfy formulation. The packaging is a bit rubbish however if you can look past it then you’ll definitely enjoy what’s inside.
