It has been a little while since I’ve updated y’all on what products are being slapped on my face on the daily. Over time I have become quite minimal with how I do my make up so this is essentially a bare bones, 5 minute routine that makes me looked put together without being OTT.
For base I’ve been skipping primer unless my skin has been peeling or extra dry thanks to micro-dermabrasions I’m having done regularly at the moment. It has been been a bit of a battle finding something that doesn’t make my skin look extra bad but I find that the Laura Mercier Radiance Primer mixed with my foundation gives that really amazing glow to the skin drawing attention away from any dryness. My foundation of choice is the Designer Brands Luminous Hydrating Foundation which is a newer product from them. It’s incredible! Really thin but it also offers some good coverage for everyday without being cakey. I don’t think this will be a summer foundation for me but for now I am really enjoying it! I always set with the Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder but a light hand is required with this powder! It can stick to dry patches as well.
Believe it or not the past six months I’ve really moved away from any sort of eyeshadow. I used to blend something through my crease every single day but for the moment I’m not feeling it. Instead I apply some mascara however I don’t love any of the ones I’m using at the moment so if you have any suggestions please hit a girl up! Since I have had my lashes lifted I’ve found that smudging below my eyebrow is a real thing so I need something that doesn’t smudge and obviously is CF! My eyebrows are always the same Eye Of Horus Dynasty Brow in Medium Brown and then Fibre Extend just through the centre part. I would love to find a clear gel that works amazing at holding the hairs in place but I’m yet to find one.
Moving onto to lips and most of my lip colours I wear on a day-to-day are nudes and I have a rotation going with my Shanghai Suzy colours. At the moment I love Crystal and Miss Leah but it does chop and change. When it comes to cheeks I barely do anything but brush some of the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in 03 over my cheeks for some colour. I never contour and rarely wear blush!
