I know the grass is always greener on the other side. BUT sometimes I crave having to dress a little bit smarter.
It’s a vibe and aesthetic I don’t get to dip my toes into very often so I always am a tiny bit envious of those who get to wear a blazer and some killer heels. I’m sure they think the same of my overalls and converse get up for comfort at my boutique. Not to give too much away but I have some potential cool things where I’ll have to be dressing a little bit smarter for a few events and I’m curling over with excitement. This is actually an outfit I have planned for one of the events. It is completely not office appropriate length but it’s my kind of vibe and that’s the beauty of what I do – I dress how I want without much guidelines at all.
The dress is the Penelope Black Dress (size 8, gifted) from Little Party Dress which you guys know I love. This dress is no exception! It’s got those small details like the oversized fitted cuffs that make it that little bit more unique and I love the way it’s longer at the back but shorter at the front. It would also look so killer with some over the knee boots because of the shorter length but I’ve never been able to find any that fit my chicken legs properly! Instead I’ve teamed it with these epic Stellar McCartney dupes that I scored as a gift from Boohoo. The real deal have been on my radar but I’m excited to see how I go wearing these as to whether I will invest in the future.
Honestly this outfit is one of my favourites I’ve ever wore and I’m so excited of the potential for that event in the coming months. I find it super hard to dress for occasions whilst still feeling like ME so it makes me happy that I’ve found something that works.
What outfits do you love but hardly ever get to wear?
