This year I’ve discovered so many amazing make up products and now is the time I get to share them all with you! A tonne of my 2015 faves are still around having been repurchased and all that jazz but for the purpose of not boring you guys these are the NEW product (to me) for 2016 that rocked my world!

Be sure to check out my 2016 skincare picks too!

Nude By Nature Contouring Palette
This is a great affordable contouring palette option if you don’t want to spend up big on more high end contouring offerings. The formulation is really smooth and buildable applying evenly on the skin with little effort. I will say that I don’t use the middle shade at all but even the highlighting shade, which I usually never use, is great for setting make up around the eyes. If you’re like me and don’t contour everyday so you don’t need to invest is an amazing $70 palette it’s worth checking out.

Natio Eyeshadow Palette
I didn’t experiment too much with eyeshadow palettes because I am so happy with my Sigma Warm Neturals I don’t feel like I need another palette therefore I don’t really buy new palettes. BUT this landed on my doorstep in the last half of the year I really enjoy the formulation and colour range of this palette. It’s not the best in terms of colour pay off with some colours requiring more work then others but that’s just a common trait when buying affordable make up. It has a great range of mattes, shimmers and sheens so it’s very versatile and a great affordable option.

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour
It’s not often I become a obsessed with a formulation like this one because if I’m wearing a dark lip I like it to be matte. These are matte in appearance but they do transfer so I guess it’s half way there for what I usually like. They’re so comfy, last so well and even touch up well throughout the day. I don’t think they’re groundbreaking but they are well worth trying if you haven’t already.

Still Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick
Another liquid lipstick formulation I’ve fell in love with is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks. These ARE a matte finish and they’re so comfy you feel as though you’re not wearing a lip product at all. They do start drying your lips out in the mid afternoon but my favourite way to combat that is to dab a little lip balm on top and then I don’t have any issues for the rest of the day. These are probably the best formulation I’ve tried and I do prefer them to the Kat Von D offering as well.

Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette
You guys all know by now that I really love the Rimmel blushes so when this palette released I couldn’t wait to try it. The thing I love about the range is that they are impossible to overdo on the skin. They’re so easy to build up and you have optimal control when applying. This palette is my everyday palette because the bronzer is great for warming up the skin, the blush doesn’t clash with any of my everyday looks and if I go for highlight this one works well without being ‘too much’ for the day time. It’s a fab little cheapie that’s for sure.

Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation
I’ve done a full review on this product so I won’t bang on about it. It’s been my everyday foundation ever since it landed on my desk and it’s another fantastic release from Laura Mercier.

Benefit Gimme Brow
I thought this product was really overhyped until I tried it and it’s true what they say – this tiny little brush is unlike any other I’ve tried. Not only does it grip every single eyebrow it someone dispenses the perfect amount of product so your eyebrows never look chunky and horrible. That is why I do really love this over any other. I will say the shade range, when I purchased, wasn’t amazing and I hope they expand it in the future as I sit in between colours which is annoying.

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer
My love for Dermalogica grew on a whole other level when they released this primer earlier this year. I was convinced a skincare brand could never do a decent primer because the product would be too skincare focused and not benefit the wear of my make up but oh boy was I wrong! This manages to boost the skin, smooth everything over without feeling gross and slimy PLUS my make up hardly ever breaksdown fully when wearing this primer instead to prolongs the wear better than anything I’ve ever tried. Gushing? Damn straight because this is an incredible product everyone should try.

Antipodes Powder
I like this but I’m not sure if you can buy it anymore because I can’t find it online? Regardless it’s a very good transceulnt setting powder that mattify’s the skin without looking cakey or disturbing your make up. If you can find it definitely try it!

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bronze 02
If there is something I love it’s a good bronzer that doesn’t make the skin look really orange and that’s exactly what this does. It gives a soft matte finish whilst still giving the skin a little radiance and it applies evenly. There are a few shades to choose from with this product so make sure to go have a swatch if you’re interested!
