For a hint of a tint..
Originally I had planned for this to be ‘for everyday’ however if I’m honest I do opt for something with a little more coverage for work. But if it’s the weekend or just a quick meeting I do opt for something a little more lightweight like the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser Oil Free. Don’t be fooled by the tinted moisturiser name this does offer some decent coverage, it’s light or maybe a light/medium coverage if you build it up, so you can trust it’s going to cover everything that needs to be covered. It’s fairly long-lasting on the skin for a tinted moisturiser but it’s not something I would want to wear in the heat or if you’re going to be out all day. It’s worth the spend because of the faultless formulation and it’s one you unexpectedly reach for often.
For everyday..
My current everyday foundation is the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion Oil Free Foundation which I did a review on not to long ago so I won’t bore you by repeating myself. Long story short this is one for the oily gals who want something light in texture with a decent whack of coverage that will last well. As I said in my review my only negative is I do notice some caking towards the end of the day which is an issue I have with most matte foundations. Check out the review but it’s a seriously fantastic foundation for the price.
For more of a glow..
I wore the Maxfactor Skin Luminizer Foundation for almost three months straight when it first released and the reason I stopped was just because I moved onto other things. This is a foundation that has a illuminating cream throughout the foundation that gives a really beautiful glow to the skin. I’m a combination/oily gal and this is the perfect combination of a healthy glow without making you look or feel super greasy throughout the day. Coverage wise it’s a lighter medium coverage so it’s one I like to team with concealer however it’s great for everyday because it does fairly decent lasting power for a more glowy foundation. My only gripe with this foundation is it can be a little bit of a pain to blend when teamed with certain primers so it’s a balancing act but worth the gorgeous finish.
For a special occasion..
I don’t speak about this foundation enough but my favourite foundation for a special occasion is the Gorgeous Cosmetics Base Perfect Liquid Foundation. This is an oil-free foundation with no SPF so you’ll never get that horrible flashback in photographs. It photographs beautifully and lasts really well throughout the night. This is on the heavier side of medium for coverage and you can definitely achieve a full coverage by building it up. It’s very light in texture so it’s super comfortable to wear for a long amount of time which makes it perfect for weddings and all that fun stuff. I recommend taking a powder with you because it can become a little oily if you wear it for 7 hours or more but apart from that it’s a really fantastic foundation.
For something seriously long-lasting..
Last but certainly not least is the option for when you really need something that’ll last you all day and for that I recommend the Clarins Everlasting Foundation+. This bad boy is insane for lasting power and I generally opt for this when I’m working all day and then have an event to attend at night. It’s a good medium coverage, easily blended into the skin and can be sheered out beautiful for something a little more lighter as well.
