Another month gone and more new products hitting our shelves here in Australia. It’s mainly make up this month but stay tuned because there are some killer skincare products hitting the shelves in May.. For now here are the best of the best from the beauty launches in April.
1. Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
After the huge Benefit They’re Real Liner launch (full review) I was surprised to see Benefit keep the Roller Lash launch fairly low key. The new addition to the mascara line has what Benefit are calling the ‘hook n roll’ brush that’ll grab the lashes, separate, lift and curl. This is a great mascara that give definition and length without any clumping what-so-ever but I do think I prefer the voluminous look of They’re Real, regardless a great everyday mascara.
2. Rimmel BB Radiance Cream
I’m a huge fan of the Rimmel BB Matte Cream and that one works really well for my combination/oily skin type so I didn’t think that this would particularly work for me. It’s not a wonder product alone because it’s so radiant and dewy it seems to become quiet oily for me towards the end of the day BUT I love mixing this with my regular foundations for a bit more of a glow especially during the cooler weather we’ve been having.
3. Viraprox Lip Balm
Not a very glamorous product to talk about but for any fellow coldsore suffers you’ll know that it can be really hard to find products that work at preventing coldsores. I’ve never found something that’ll keep them at bay without being a nuisance to remember to apply. This Viraprox is just a regular lip balm you can apply daily OR if you have one to soothe the area. The best part? It’s super moisturising and has an SPF so it’s a great lip balm with the added bonus of preventing pesky coldsores - a must have!
4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Moisturising Foundation
For those of you who haven’t already heard my beloved Laura Mercier Silk Creme has been reformulated (tear). There are now two different versions an oil-free and an moisturising one. I haven’t got my hands on the oil-free yet but I will soon and then you can expect a full review on both in the near future. For now this version is great for anyone who found the original a little too heavy coverage (I personally didn’t). More on both formulations coming soon….
5. Clinique Beyond Perfecting 2-in-1 Concealer Foundation
This is marketed as a concealer/foundation hybrid which is an interesting concept. It’s meant to be lightweight like a concealer but still give you a really long-lasting finish. The texture of this is very light and it blends into the skin well with a dewy finish. My problem is with the lasting power. I think if you have normal or dry skin this will be amazing for you and maybe once it’s cooled down further it’ll be a product I’ll get more use out of.
6. Sally Hansen Metallic Collection
I absolutely love the Sally Hansen nail polishes so when I heard they were releasing a metallic collection for the winter I was excited. This shade is Game of Chromes and I have been loving it for an accent nail teamed with a berry shade. The formulation is opaque, not streaky at all and it isn’t too bad when it comes to removal.
7. Shanghai Suzy AW15 Lipstick Collection
My full review is here and I don’t think I need to talk about these anymore because you all know I’m obsessed. Such a fun collection and I’ve been wearing these shades exclusively.
8. Innoxa Full Colour Lip Cream
Another new edition to the lip stain craze! These are a great matte, long lasting lip cream that are very pigmented on the lips. Like other lip creams they can be slightly drying but overall a great affordable option.

I’m intrigued by roller lash, I use they’re real so may just stick to that.
CitizenM Glasgow Hotel Review
I personally prefer They’re Real :)
Definitely need to get my hands on that Rimmel BB Cream!

It’s really great for mixing (for me) but would be a gem for normal/dry skins alone :)
I hated the original silk creme, but have found the moisturising one an improvement so far ( I’ve only worn it once) x

I’m still testing it but I understand where you’re coming from :)
I’ve been loving Benefit’s roller lash mascara! It works a treat and holds a curl all day!

Glad you’re enjoying it as well Em :) x
Benefit Rollerlash is an amazing mascara. I can’t believe I haven’t bought the full version after using the tester until I had to scrape it out x

So glad you’re enjoying it Maddy! xx
I hate that they reformulated the Laura Mercier Silk Creme. I really wanted to get it, then I heard they changed it and I was too nervous to try it. I might try the moisturizing one. I just want a new full coverage foundation. I also have been seeing the Rimmel BB Radiance cream a lot and I’ve been thinking about trying it!

I think it was smart by LM because they’ve listened to the feedback. I LOVED the originally but I think that the replacements will be great (I haven’t tried the oil-free yet as I said) for people to choose they’re preferred formula. I will be reviewing both in full soon :)
The Rimmel BB cream seems like it works really well mixed in with your foundation then - I love a dewy finish!

Thanks Alice! x
I really want to try the new Laura Mecier creme, and as I actually loved the older one it could break my heart if I didn’t like it as much!

Mascara & Maltesers
I don’t LOVE the moisturising one as much (tear) but I want to try the oil-free and see how that one goes before I review… fingers crossed! xx
Oh I’m curious about the Innoxa lipcream! x

Can’t wait to hear about the LM Silk Creme, really intrigued by the moisturizing version since I have drier skin!

Some great new products! I really want to get myself the new Shanghai Suzy’s but ehhh trying to save my moolah haha! xx
Sweetaholic Beauty
Have been waiting for the reformulation of the LM Silk Creme foundation to try the brand. I have dry skin. I am excited and anticipating love, my plastic is nervous.
I always get coldsores over night, I don’t get the tingly feeling or anything so I can’t put anything on the spot before it comes to. I always find Carmex Original gets rid of coldsores fast though. I also think that the Innoxa packaging is on point.

Love the Rimmel BB!! Been eyeing the Clinique for a while, do you think it has the full coverage of a concealer?
