Mac Soar lip colour, in both lipstick and liner form, have been very talked about over the past few weeks. I thought it was about time I road tested it myself….
I tossed up between Whirl and Soar but ended up going with Soar because I thought it’d be similar to my lip colour. Although I’m really happy with this colour part of me really wants to buy Whirl as well. Soar is a dusky pink that can be worn under a bucket load of different shades making it very versatile. I like wearing it alone (see above) with some lip balm over the top or teamed with a really dusky pink or nude. It’s slightly drying but still easy to apply to the lips without pulling or anything like that. The way it wears is awesome too – just slightly blurring that the edges after the 4 hour mark.
Is it worth the hype? I’m a huge fan of MAC lip liners and I think it is. It’s one of those lip liners you can use daily under or all your usual lipsticks (if you’re wearing neutrals daily like me) or it can be worn alone quite heavily or sheered out. The options are endless! If you’ve been thinking about purchasing this one – do it!
