Our last Christmas look was more natural so I thought that today I’d do a more glam version for any parties that may require a little bit more of a special look. All products used are super affordable too!
This post is a collaboration with GlamEyes by Manicare! I’ve been working with them on a cheeky social experiment, along with lots of other talents ladies, and you can find out more about that over at http://getyourglamon.com.au/. There is also loads of details about the awesome #getyourglamon competition over on the website, so many prizes to be won, make sure you head on over too check that out! I was super inspired by how the lashes really give your look that something extra, as proved by the experiment (watch the video below), so I thought I’d do a glam Christmas party look for those parties that require a bit more of a special look.

Starting with a clean skin prime your face, I used the lovely L’oreal Base Magique which is super smoothing. Next up is foundation, I’m using the Maybelline Better Skin Foundation which is a little bit dark for me but the coverage is fantastic. Add a multipurpose concealer over any problem areas and/or under the eyes for some extra coverage. I used the Maybelline Dream Lumi which I find great for both! Set with a powder if you feel like you need too.Now onto the face and I decided to do some contouring using the Maybelline FitMe Foundation. It’s a lovely creamy product that I just can’t get enough of for contouring. If you’re not confident with contouring I recommend a powder product. If you want a little more colour add some blush. I ended up adding some of the Essence Blush in ‘Adorable’ which is very affordable but great quality.Onto eyeshadow and the first product you’re going to apply as a base is a golden cream eyeshadow. I used the Covergirl Bombshell in ‘Gold Goddess’ and applied with my finger. On top of that pat a little of a shimmery gold shade, I used the one from the Australis Bronzed Girl palette, and pack it on for an intense colour. Next apply a darker brown in the outer V and take that also under the lower lash line to intensify. Go back in with a blending brush and blend blend blend! Now add a little a eyeliner, I applied only a thin line with a slight wing to help disguise the lashes but it’s completely up to you how intense you go. I have been like the Essence Waterproof Eyeliner pen but be warned it’s not very flexible. Apply one coat of mascara to help your natural lashes blend in with the fake, curl them if you need too, the Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara is a great budget friendly option!
Next we’re going to apply some lashes from Glam by Manicare and I’ve chosen Candice lashes that are just gorgeous. I tend to place them both on the centre of the eye and then do the outer/inner corners after both are sitting there getting tacky. The Glam range is available at Priceline (website and instore) as well as selected pharmacies. At Priceline they are currently 3 for 2 as well which is a great deal, my faves are the Gisele and the Candice, head over and check them out here.
Lastly apply your favourite red lipstick! I decided to go for the Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 because it’s slightly deeper then the other reds I own.
