I spent the week sleeping fairly horribly and attempting to keep a normal skin/make up routine whilst having six stitches in the side of my face… Not an ideal week but I still have some products that are very much worth checking out over the weekend.
As I mentioned I have had stitches in the side of my face for the past week so I’ve really tried to streamline my skincare routine. If you saw the Brand Focus from earlier this week you would have read about the Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser. It’s been really gentle but still cleansing my skin well and it smells great! Another skincare product I’ve been really enjoying is the Kiehl’s Super Multi-Correcting Eye-Opening Serum. I always bang on about how important it is for even young adults and teenagers to use an eye cream, I know! But it really does make all the world of difference for improving the way make up applies and keeping the area moisturised will help in the long-run - promise!
For make up I’ve been not wearing much of a base which has been killing me because prior to surgery I was really enjoying the coverage of a small amount of the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. Instead I’ve been opting for a light amount of the Clarins Instant Concealer throughout my T-Zone where much of my discolouration is and powder it with the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder. These in combination with each other gave me enough coverage where I needed it for a week and the duo wore really well together. I highly recommend both of those base products together or separately though! My last make up favourite has been the MaxFactor Excess Shimmer in Bronze. Wow. These are like no other cream shadow on the market! They’re so soft, highly pigmented and so so so blendable. Possibly the best affordable one on the market.
Last up is this fancy Fudge Ligh HED-ed Hair Oil. This is essentially a dry oil spray that’s going to give you a boost of moisturise, smooth fly-aways and frizz. One of my pet hates is applying some hair oil then having to go rinse my hands before touching anything. My bathroom is a long way from where I do my hair and make up so most of the time I just got without. However this solves that problem for me - yay! You just spray it in, work it in with your brush or hands (no residue in sight) and you’re good to go. Best invention ever!

There isn’t much I plan on trying, I mainly go through the website & purchase anything I get sold on by description. But I feel like I need to try out their Calendula Herbal Extract Toner & the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.
