THE WEEKLY NOTES #9 cleanin’ out my closest, weekends away & poor little Simmy

This week has left me so tired. Between extra work at my other job, being super disorganised for the website and poor little sick Simba I’ve been drained! You know those weeks that just really get you? That’s been my week! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend so far xxx

As you’re reading this Isaac and I are away for the weekend at Maryville for a little break (exactly what I needed after this week). We were invited there to check out the new spa at the Marysville Vibe Hotel which I’ll be doing a little article on both the spa and hotel once we’re back. It looks gorgeous! I’m excited to go away and do some hiking and chill out… Even if it is for work! I’m sure we’ll have some downtime while we’re there. More on our trip away soon!

Our poor little Simba has been feeling unwell this week which has made me so sad and stressed. We changed the brand of his food on a recommendation and it didn’t agree with him. We’ve changed to something else now that’ll hopefully sort it all out but it’s been hard. I now understand what Mum’s mean when they say ‘take all advice with a pinch of salt’ – god I find looking after a puppy hard enough with all the mixed advice let alone a child!

I’ve started to clean out my wardrobe thanks to this post by Bethany. Prior to the article being published I’d never really considered a capsule wardrobe. I’m VERY far away from having it condensed down but I really love the idea of having basics on rotation and not feeling overwhelmed by my overflowing stash of clothes. I’ve started with shoes because they’re easy to cull down… Next is my kimono stash EPPPP. Definitely check out that post by Beth it’s a fab guide to stream-lining your wardrobe :)

Oh and lastly I wanted to ask if anyone has any healthy cookbook recommendations? We’re in desperate need of a shake up!

What have you been up to this week? Anything exciting?

Poor little puppy! It’s the worst when animals are sick, because they can’t tell you what’s wrong or if they’re feeling better. Rommy has only been sick twice and I was worried sick both times!

Keep us updated on the healthy cookbook recs, if you get any good ones!

I know it’s the worst! The new food seems to be working so he is getting better.

I definitely will. I’m going to order a few later tonight :)

Oh no – poor Simba! Hope that little tail is wagging again soon! AH I really need to do a clean out of the wardrobe. So much that I havent used in a long while, and when I move the end of this year I don’t want to have to take unused things with me! This week I have been doing a few job trials that went well, and finally getting into planning out some blog posts. Yay! x
