With Spring now upon us there are plenty of new releases on the shelves with even more to come in September. August saw the launch of some delicious new scents, affordable make up and new skincare from some of our favourite brands. Here is a round up of the best of the best!

1.Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne
I find Jo Malone’s scents very love it or hate it because they’re all so unique. This one I love which is strange because it’s not sweet at all. The Cardamom adds this fresh floral then the Mimosa and Tonka Bean makes it so warm and rich. Generally I like some fruity, sweet or floral but this is very warm and fresh – it’s very sophisticated and one you’ll get alot of compliments because it is something different. Highly recommend it!

2. Jurlique Nutri-Define Refining Foaming Cleanser, Essential Conditioning Lotion & Eye Contour Balm
It’s no secret this is one of my favourite skincare lines ever and when I spotted Jurlique were releasing 3 new products to the line  I literally squealed. I’ve posted about the other products in the line and the moisturisers are my absolute favourite! They’ve now added a foaming cleanser, conditioning lotion and eye contour balm. The eye balm is exactly what I’ve been looking for – so creamy, rich and hydrating. If you suffer from dehydration in your eye area this is definitely one for you. The foaming cleanser is very creamy at the beginning with little exfoliating beads throughout it – I’m enjoying but Isaac likes it more than me so it’s been hijacked (side note: I need a new cleanser with no frills, exfoliating beads etc please suggestions?!) but not my favourite from the range. The conditioning lotion I’ve been able to slot into my existing skincare routine with ease. It’s designed to boost hydration and help all your other treats work even better. I’ve only been using it for a little bit but will definitely update y’all on how I find. Overall if you haven’t tried the range it’s a must!

3. Laura Mercier Flawless Contour Palette
I spoke more about this earlier on in the month in this post but cream contouring is one of my favourite things to do and this limited edition palette definitely has me excited. I’m a fairly pale gal therefore the colours just didn’t hit the mark for me but if you’re medium or dark skinned this one is definitely one to pick up. The formulation is really beautiful/blendable/pigmented and easy to work with. Be quick it is limited edition!

4. Essie Cashmere Matte Collection
There is a whole swatch and review on this collection on MTA already (here’s the link) but an uber cool collection. Six shades that have a matte finish, some have a really interesting pearl throughout whilst others are just creams. I definitely appreciate the innovativeness of this collection and admit Wrap Me Up has been on my nails all month long! This will be in store until the end of September so it’s worth checking them out while you can.

5. Maybelline Colour Molten Shadows
There are about 8 shades of these duo shadows available in store and I’m on the fence about these. The quality is what is expected from the pharmacy – not extremely pigmented but nice enough and pretty blendable once on the eye. My problem with these is the shade selection is weird. Nude Rush is easily the most wearable but all the rest are fairly vibrant colours. I would have liked to have seen more wearable tones in the collection. Regardless they are fairly good for what you pay so if you see a colour combo you love it’s worth trying.

6. Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Corrector & Concealer
I won’t dribble on about this one (dribble was so not an attractive noun to use there LOL) because I did a full review on these earlier this week but they’re pretty cool products. Bobbi Brown is known for her base products, particularly concealers, so I was excited to have received this to our PO BOX. They’re designed to work together however I find that separately they’re fine and considering the price tag I would only purchase one at a time (I recommend the corrector). Check out the review for all the details but they’re a stand out from the month of launches.

7. The Body Shop Spa of The World Collection
A new line from TBS is so luxurious and amazing everyone needs to try at least one things from it. I was sent a selection of products and my picks are the Body Clay, Body Oil and Dead Sea Salt Scrub. I don’t know why but when giving myself a pamper night I often concentrate on my face neglecting my body but these have really changed that. I scrub my body with the scrub (obviously) which is the perfect balance of scrub without being overly harsh then apply the Body Clay. The Body Clay is just like a mud mask for your body and it’s the first time I’ve ever used something like it. After that I lather myself in the Radiance Oil which absorbs quickly. Afterwards your skin feels incredible. I highly rate the range, scent is gorgeous and I can see myself repurchasing the products again and again.

8. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser
I’m not a huge fan of this kind of primer, the real silicone type, but I gave it a go so I could talk about it here on the website. Although I don’t think it refines pores to the extent of Benefit Porefessional it is a really great way to try something along the same lines for a more affordable price. I wish it was around back when I purchased my Benefit one because I just don’t enjoy this type of primer so a more affordable option would’ve stopped me from wasting all that money!

9. Sisley Spring Collection 2015
I only want to talk briefly about this one because I have a full post coming next week on this collection but oh my god it’s so beautiful. The lipstick is this gorgeous bright pink and the bronzing gel is uber interesting. The collection also includes a mascara, eyeliner and shadow but there will be a full review next week so keep an eye out.

10. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever
MJ is a go-to fragrance line for many and the newest edition is no exception – it’s gorgeous! The scent has the same composition as the original Daisy Dream but with different percentages. Top notes are grapefruit, blackberry and pear with floral undertones from the blue wisteria, jasmine and lychee. This one I find a little harder to describe because it’s floral but then I pick up the sweeter notes as well. It’s definitely worth sniffing – as always Marc Jacobs has done it again.

11. Maybelline Master Sculpt Contouring Palette
Another contouring product to release this month is from Maybelline I have both shades and both work fairly well. The colours aren’t too warm, blend well and aren’t overly pigmented so they’re alot easier to work with then some other higher end contouring palettes. I spoke about them more earlier in the month here but I really find the highlighter a little chalky then shimmer just shows up on the skin. A good product for beginners but not my favourite contouring product of all time.

Ooohhh I spy so many contour palettes that I want to try! I wasn’t a fan of the Maybelline Baby Skin either. I like silicon primers but that one just felt way too slippery.
