ZOEVA MIXED METALS PALETTE REVIEW & SWATCHES

Zoeva not only do make up tools - they do make up! How awesome is that? Sometimes when a brand ventures into another aveune of products people can be skeptical, I know I was, however I’ve been pleasantly surprised.

The thing about the Zoeva Mixed Metal Palette is at first glance it looks a bit like a nothing palette but once watched all the shades come to life boasting unique metallic shades that are gorgeous both on and off the lids. The eyeshadow quality is smooth, buttery and blendable with a good whack of pigment to each shadow. Although generally the palette overall isn’t something I would pick up or even buy in store I’ve been surprised by how much use I’ve got out of it. The metallic, intense colours add something else to your make up look and the shadows are beautiful to work with.

The first row of shadows are gorgeous and warm. Everything for a gold to a rich copper is included making the options for more natural hued looks really endless. What I like about the palette is the divide between warm and cool hues making it easy to identify and mix shade appropriately. Copper Plate and Rusty Steel have to be my favourite being so rich it’s hard to resist blending them all over the lids daily.

On the second row there are your cool tones and a matte black to compliment the intense, metallic shades. There is a fair bit of fall out with the black shadow so it’s vital to ensure you’re tapping off the excess really well before applying to the lids. Warm Silver is the perfect highlight for this palette because it works so well with the warmer hues as well as the cooler ones as well. I can’t say I’ve been using the like of Platinum or Ore Stone at all but I do appreciate them and maybe one day I’ll feel adventurous and try something new.

Of course in the palette I would love to see some matte shadows for blending however I see this palette as one to add to an existing collection for a bit of a revamp rather then a palette you buying to be your one and only. If you’re wanting to spice up your eyeshadow life I’d really recommend checking the Zoeva Mixed Metal Palette out!
