There is some feelings I just can’t stay and one of them is the feel of silicone primers. Anyone else feel that way? I don’t find pore filling products work well for me because of my skin texture anyway but I digress. I thought I’d share with you some options if you’re wanting to incorporate a primer that makes a difference but you’re like me and dislike the texture of a silicone based primer.

My absolute must-have is the Maxfactor Facefinity All Day Primer because I find it smoothing without leaving the skin feeling slippery. It’s very basic, no frills at all BUT it works and that’s all I ask of any product really. I haven’t found a foundation this doesn’t work under so it’s a great go-to recommendation because I feel like it’ll most for nearly everyone. The NARS Pro-Prime Pore Refining Primer is a similar product in that it’s fairly basic, smooths over the skin without leaving a residue and doesn’t leave the skin feel slippery. I find this one a little more moisturising so it’ll be a great option for anyone with more normal or dry skin because of that factor.
Last up is the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance and this one is completely different (I do LOVE the original though!!!). It is a cream that has illuminating particles in it so it really does give your skin such a glow. It’s great for events or even if you want an everyday radiant complexion but be warned that it is pretty intense. I love it though. It’s great mixed with your foundation too!
