ARE KESTER BLACK POLISHES REALLY WORTH THE HYPE?

When I first heard of Kester Black polishes via Kat I was interested however it was one of things I added to the forever growing list of beauty products I should pick up and try.

It wasn’t until I spotted them on the Adore Beauty website that I decided to try them. The apply to me wasn’t just the highly raved about formulation but the ethos of the brand. Kester Black pride themselves on being cruelty free, made in Melbourne and vegan which is something I really appreciate as now I’m trying to choose the brands I support a little more carefully.

The colours I decided on are ‘Typhoon’ which is described as a lagoon green and ‘Quartz’ a really beautiful greyed green. If you haven’t had a peep at the colour range be prepared to be spoilt for choice with the insane amount of unique shades available! It really is so hard to choose.

There is no denying how down right sleek the packaging is. It’s simple in design but feels a little luxe and that is something I can really appreciate. As for the formulation all the raving is very well deserved because I found I didn’t really need a second coat and that is something I haven’t experienced from a nail polish brand in a very long time. I’ve currently got ‘Quartz’ on my nails and can happily report we are 5 days in with minimal tip wear but no crazy chunks or chips at all.

So the verdict is YES! Kester Black is an incredible brand and so bloody worth checking out.

Available via Adore Beauty so have a little peep :)

Perfect shade choices! I’ve only got one Kester Black polish in my collection and it gets neglected because I dont like the shade all that much :(

    • Oh bugger! Worth checking out their other shades though! they have so many gorgeous ones!

  • I sure have! I’ve got a few of them in my stash & want to add several more. I love the fact that they’re easy to apply & they’re pretty opaque even with just 1 coat (I always do 2 or 3 anyway since my application skills aren’t great sometimes), plus being cruelty-free is of course a major bonus. I too blame Kat for getting me onto them!

    • So glad you love them too! I can feel such an obsession starting wahhhhh!

  • I’ve been looking for different nail polishes to try! I just bought a really cool metallic color from Color Club, and even though I do two coats, it’s starts chipping the next day, it’s honestly so annoying! Which other brands would you recommend? xx

    • Hmm I’m a big Essie fan but I know that a whole heap of people don’t love that formula. The Sally Hansen Gel Top Coat makes my polish last well though so maybe look at that top coat?

  • I’ve been wanting to try this brand out for ages, I think I actually saw their office the other day while wandering around Melbourne, too! I love the look of both of these shades, I think I’ll definitely have to check them out!
