Straight leg jeans are everywhere and if you’re anything like me, a through and through black skinny leg jean gal, it may be a little bit hard to imagine wearing a different cut. Cue the incredible Nobody Denim Charlotte Jean and I was completely sold.
The thing about the Nobody Denim Charlotte Jean is that they’re still high waisted fit that are fitted around the butt area. This is a key feature to look for when shopping for a straight cut because it offers more shape and therefore is more flattering. They also don’t completely drop from under the bum they are fitted relative until mid thigh and I like the way the looks as it tapers down the leg.
Straight leg jeans offer more than what people think and I do want to point out firstly THEY’RE SO FLIPPING COMFORTABLE! I’ve worn skinny leg jeans for years and I never realised just how intensely uncomfortable they are. These are so comfy because they’re not restrictive at all.
I like the look of these with things tucked in and if you’re just trying them out that’s a good place to start. Often when you try them on with a baggy tee you feel like you’re a potato but when teamed with something a little more fitted or even just tucked it gives you a little more shape over the body.
You guys know I’m a casually girl through and through so I love the way Converse All Stars and a simple top look with the straight cut however if you spotted my ‘Reasons Why Blazers Don’t Scare The Shit Out Of Me Anymore’ you would’ve been the look above. I really love how it looks a little more formal and dressed up but still gives that casual vibes thanks to the jean cut.
If you’ve been umm-ing about trying a pair I say GO, RUN! You won’t regret it.
