It’s been a while since we’ve spoken about nail colours that are marking a mark so today we’re sharing five unique but equally as beautiful nail colours for the winter months! Tell us your favourites in the comments below :)

In winter it’s fun to play with metallics and shimmers and that’s coming from someone who is a cream finish girl every single time. The ‘Bell-Bottom Blues’ from the Essie line up is this gorgeous blue metallic shade that is stunning on the nails. I’m currently wearing it and loving the intensity. It’s something a little fun and different for the cooler months. Another unique shade is the offering from Crabtree & Evelyn who have recently released some seriously gorgeous shades! It’s ‘Lilac’ which is a vibrant lilac shade that looks amazing against pale OR tanned skin because it’s that bright pastel shade. You will love it promise.

For some more muted shades you can’t go past L’oreal Paris Collection Pink In Opera Ballerina and Maybelline Super Stay in Rose Poudre. The L’oreal shade does take 2-3 takes for complete coverage but the nude is milky and beautiful so it makes it worth the extra effort.

Last up we’ve got a true wintery classic from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. It’s ‘Black Dahlia’ which is an intense blackened mulberry shade. The formulation of these polishes is dreamy with the one-coat wonders lasting 5 days with no chipping at all so they’re definitely worth the price tag.

I used to love wearing darker shades in winter (I used to be obsessed with OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark) but now I tend to go the opposite way and wear more muted polishes, much more like that Maybelline shade here which looks gorgeous!
