If you’ve been following us along on Instagram you would’ve seen a few months ago I was gifted this stunning shirt from Harvey The Label. You all were pretty excited about seeing it styled so here is how I generally wear it and how to nail that smart casual look we all dread!
This style is called the ‘dreamer shirt’ and it also comes in the most gorgeous star print. If you click through to the website you’ll notice that the back is a little different on the model with the strap detail hanging loose. That is how it typically falls once you’ve got it on however for day-to-day I prefer to wear a bra #bigboobproblems so I use a little double sided tape to keep that strap covering my bra. If I were to be styling this for a night event then I’d opt for no bra and tape my boobs in but for everyday this is what I personally prefer! I like that you have the versatility of wearing it both ways without sacrificing the look of the shirt. I also really love the overall shape of the shirt and how it’s long line but also have the cut out at front. It makes it so much more flattering and it looks killer with high-waisted jeans.
On the day we shot this particular look it was freezing and raining…. If you couldn’t tell by my less than excited expressions so I teamed it with my Topshop Jaime Jeans which are currently on their last legs. I love Topshop jeans but I feel as though I’m constantly buying them! My Lack of Colour Fedora really made the outfit a little more casual – I guess it’d depend on the event but I think this is appropriate for birthdays or afternoon drinks as I was saying before if it were a night time event I’d opt for the sexier silhouette with the back strap and leave the hat at home.
The finer details include my Mollini Cut Out Boots I bought last year, MAC Lady Danger and my Mimco Pouch. I love the way the lips really pop teamed with the rest of the monochrome elements.
