MY WEEK IN OUTFITS #2: A VERY BUSY WEEK

This week has been crazy busy as I’m winding down before taking the last week before Christmas off website stuff. Sounds weird? Well the week after Christmas is Boxing Day sales and in retail that means you have no time for anything else! Here are my outfits from the week.

Thursday 8th of December
Ok so I think I need to reign in my stripe-wearing days #sorrynotsorry! On the hanger I really didn’t love this Isla The Label Runway Dress because it’s so big and shapeless but once on I love the way it hangs. It would be the ultimate Christmas day outfit because you could eat whatever you want in it.

What I’m wearing: Isla The Label Runway Dress (wearing size XS, it runs big) |  Birkenstock Arizona Sandals Betts Ryder Tote Bag | Elroy Eyewear Florence in Gold | Uncle Jack Watch

I had so many messages on Instagram about this dress and quite funnily alot of people were wondering whether I got it on sale. I don’t own this dress and I’m going to now be marking in these posts what is borrowed for shoots. Just so we’re clear I’m not rich and fashion bloggers (not that I’d consider myself a fashion blogger) often get the opportunity to borrow clothing from brands/boutiques for shoots. I have a good friend who owns a boutique locally and sometimes I borrow something to shoot for an upload if my outfit on the day is a little lack lustre. I didn’t know whether to mention it or not but yes – sometimes I borrow clothes but most of the time I buy thing because I have a shopping addiction. Oh and Monalisa The Store always pops up because it’s my local go-to boutique so I shop there ALOT.

This Zimmermann number is incredible and I’m so tempted to buy it for my hens weekend however the price tag can’t be justified when we’re trying to string together money for the wedding. It’s incredible and the most beautiful material – it’s just insane so I can see why it has such a high price tag! The detail is amazing…. Fingers crossed it’s still around come Boxing Day sales.

What I’m wearing: Zimmermann Winsome Ruffle Playsuit (borrowed, I’m wearing an 8) |  Elroy Eyewear Harper Sunglasses in Mauve | Midas Jeremiah Heels

Saturday 10th of December
Saturday’s I work my other job so alot of the time I keep things pretty casual cuz it’s so busy and especially now we’re coming up to Christmas. It was a little cooler so I decided to opt for my Outland Denim jeans which are such a cool brand because $50 from each pair of jeans goes to Frontline Anti-Trafficking agenices. I love seeing brands really giving a shit about real problems and this is a primer example of a stellar product and an even better ethos behind the brand. The jeans do come up small, I’m generally an 8-9 and I’ve gone up to an 11 so keep that in mind and definitely do look at the size charts because they’re a lifesaver.

What I’m wearing: Manhattan Striped Tee (size S) | Outland Denim Isabel in Black (size 11) | Birkenstock Arizona Sandals Betts Ryder Tote Bag | Lack Of Colour Fedora

Sunday 11th of December
It wasn’t until this year that I started wearing playsuits and now you can’t get me out of them. They’re so freaking comfy and you don’t need to worry about teaming things together. I’m a huge fan! Surprisingly Factorie have a fab range of rompers and they’re a good price. For something that I plan to throw on over bikinis and slob around in it’s not something I find really necessary to invest in!

What I’m wearing: Factorie Jumpsuit (current but not online, wearing size XS) | Cotton Body Cap | Adidas Trainers (not current, similar here) | Mimco pouch (not current, similar here)

Monday 12th December
I cheated today because I had an early morning (4am!!!) and actually almost died so I wore active wear all day. This outfit is one that was featured on Friday in this blog post so I won’t harp on about it but all I can say is these shorts are life and these shoes are the most comfortable mules EVER! Check out the blog post for more details on each piece and some tips on dressing for events that have a loose dress code like Christmas parties.

What I’m wearing: Valencia Black Top (size 8) | Joanne Stripe Shorts (size 8) | Midas Kueen Heel  | Camilla & Marc Clutch | Uncle Jack WatchShanghai Suzy Fire Engine Red |  Elroy Cairo Clear Sunglasses

Tuesday 13th of December
We spent the evening out at my Mum’s place catching up with extended family and it was so nice. It was actually incredible hot so I didn’t do my hair #sorrynotsorry and chucked on this divine Finding Fi The Label number. If you couldn’t tell I love the off the shoulder style and the print on this is subtle so it suits me just fine!

What I’m wearing: Finding Fi The Label Dress | Windsor Smith Sandals | Elroy Cairo Clear Sunglasses | Sportsgirl Bag (not current)

Wednesday 14th of December
Today we decided to shoot with this Monalisa dress because I’m so on the fence about it. I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy it for weeks! I really love the whole wrap dress trend that’s happening at the moment and if you haven’t tried it you definitely should because it’s so so flattering. And I love this cut! Finally my boobs are small enough that I can go completely braless with just some double sided tape and the hem line is also uber cool BUT it’s the print. Is it too mumsy? I feel like it is but if I could find a cool bralette to wear underneath maybe it’d be cool. What are your thoughts? I do love it but I’m not totally convinced.

What I’m wearing: Zulu & Zephyr Botanic Wrap Dress (borrowed, size 8) | 66 The Label Hat (borrowed) | Uncle Jack Watch | Midas Jeremiah Heels | Elroy Eyewear Florence in Gold

I’m so loving these kinds of posts from you and even if it’s a repeat that outfit with the striped shirts is still my favourite, I think you look absolutely stunning!

    • Thanks gorge! I’m always in stripes haha x

  • I think its important to be honest about where clothes/products come from. I think too many people don’t openly say it and a lot of non bloggers try to keep up by spending all their money on clothes and products because they think that’s normal. I think too many people are disillusioned into thinking that blogging life = real life. And maybe for a blogger it IS real life but for non bloggers it’s not. If you know what I mean. Anyway, my point is i’m glad you mentioned it!
I’ll have to check out the playsuits in Factorie. I love the look of playsuits but have never worn one before!

    • I wasn’t sure whether to mention it or not but I’m glad I did. I definitely get what you mean and even I sometimes look at other bloggers and I’m like ‘why can’t I afford all that’ but it’s not realistic or needed for the everyday person.

Defs check them out they are some awesome ones for really cheap! The quality isn’t amazing but good for if you’re just testing the waters to see if you like them :)
