ON FINDING VEGAN ALTERNATIVES TO LEATHER HANDBAGS…

A few months ago I spoke about a big struggle I’ve had since going vegan and that is finding fashionable alternatives to leather when it comes to shoes and handbags. Tonnes of you guys left your opinions and suggestions in the comments of that post so THANK YOU! I’m so grateful.

It’s not that I couldn’t anything – I mean there are things around suitable for vegans – it is just the fashionable aspect of it. There was nothing trendy or edgy about some of the brands. I was stalking the Flora & Fauna website (one you guys suggested) and stumbled across their bag section. I’d heard of Urban Originals before but they stock a fab range so of course this Lola bag had to be mine. Finally I can jump for joy and drool over some bags that aren’t crazy expensive and aren’t leather. Dreams really do come true.

If you think I’m being dramatic…. I mean I am talking about a handbag. I get it! BUT when you’re completely uprooting your whole lifestyle that you’ve been living for 23 years it can be tricky to navigate – especially when things start affecting one of your biggest loves in life. Before you all say ‘I could never be vegan’ it really isn’t that hard. It is just about finding an alternative that makes you not worried about the things you’re missing out on but excited about the new things you get to explore or experience.

Whether you are fully vegan, looking to lessen your impact or just looking for a cute handbag I highly recommend checking out Flora & Fauna’s range of bags.
