Good basics are hard to come by. I feel like it’s an area of clothing you don’t need to spend up big on BUT hunting down the best tees can be a pain in the backside. I’ve found a few hidden gems but I’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments!
For midi-dresses, playsuits and everyday basics…
Through the summer I wore 3 basic Factorie playsuits on rotation and I’ve recently gifted a few of their midi dresses. I didn’t have high hopes for them – in fact I was certain that they would be toast after one wash however I have been so surprised. They are ridiculously soft, a great fit and they wash AMAZINGLY. The dress I’m wearing in the photos is no more then $30!!!! Such a steal. I’ve been recommending Factorie basics to all IRL friends and they are loving it too.
For good quality knits at a fair price….
Lulu & Rose has been a favourite of mine for a few seasons now but the past two winters I’ve been really stoked with the quality of the knitwear from the brand. The pink cardi I’m wearing looks light but it seriously is the warmest thing I’ve ever worn! I know that cardigans aren’t the prettiest of things but they’re so practical and when you find a good one it’s THE BEST. I own about 5 of their knits now and each one is super soft, not scratchy at all and so toasty to wear.
For soft tees…
I’ve been a long time lover of the Little Lies tees for a very long time. They are hard to come by but I find there are more and more stockist popping up all the time. Most of their tees are a relaxed fit and they flatter the body like no other. My only gripe is that due to just how soft they are they tend to only last a season or two because the neckline stretches out. Regardless I still repurchase because they’re such an amazing fit.
