The past week has been freezing so my make up has been super basic due to laziness. Does anyone else get like that?
An old favourite I’ve been wearing, and my first primer ever, is the Australis Primer. Unfortunately I’m a little underwhelmed despite it being a great basic one back-in-the-day the texture is a little chinky and it doesn’t really do THAT much for prepping the skin. For a lighter base the Rimmel BB Cream Matte has well and truly stole my heart. It’s light, long-lasting and is a fantastic colour on me. I do find it oxidises a little but regardless a great product. I team it with my all time favourite concealer, Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Concealer and it’s the perfect light coverage duo that still hide all my imperfections.
Rosy cheeks are my go-to flavour of the moment and The Balm Frat Boy is the perfect pick me up shade without being too much. Paired with the Clarins Bronzer in Light all over and my skin is instantly perked up.
For a basic eye I sweated the Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow in 350 all over the lid, adding some of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Brown on the outer corners and calling it a day. A recent discovery for mascara is the Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara. The wand may look super basic but it’s so good at separating and defining the lashes. The brush is very stiff so it allow you to get right at the roots. It’s not going to give a false lash look but it’s great for everyday.
For lips and this lip combination is a must-try! First up I applied the OCC Lip Tar in ‘Trollop’ and blended it well into my lips. I topped it with some NYX Lipgloss in ‘Beige’. I love the soft pink lip combination!
