Another week done and we’re well into the winter months now with it been god damn freezing here at MTA. There have been a fair few standout products this week I’d recommend checking out over the weekend – have a lovely one!

Due to stress I’ve had the worst break out on my chin and cheek which has really been bothering me because nothing has been applying nicely over top. For really drawing out the grossness I’ve been applying the Borghese Fango Active Mud Mask as a spot treatment on blemishes that are active. It really helps fasten up the process by drawing out all the oils and cleaning the area out of grossness. It can be drying so apply only to active spots then follow up with a good moisturiser. It’s also amazing for large pores and drawing out blackheads. I can confidently say it’s the most effective mask I’ve personally used. Another treatment I’ve been loving is the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Serum. This helps retexturise the skin so I’ve been using it every night to again, help speed up the process of getting rid of these blemishes! I’m not overly keen on the texture of the product the I love love love the way it helps my skin turnover faster appearing smoother and more radiant.

For make up I’ve been changing up my primer and powder to suit the cooler weather. My skin has been a little more dry so the NARS Pro Prime Pore Refining Primer has been doing wonders for smoothing over the skin without clinging to any funny bits. It still does help with smoothing pores but the initial texture isn’t that typical silicone-y feel. A fantastic primer I’m considering purchasing the full size of! The powder I’ve switched too is the Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Powder. This has a little bit of sparkle throughout which may sound scary but I find it gives the skin a really soft glow without looking like a disco ball promise! It’s a really easy way to keep your base looking fresh throughout winter and it’s a fraction of the price compared to those ones by Hourglass! My lip colour of choice has been the L’oreal Colour Riche Pure Red Laetitia, it’s a gorgeous deep red colour which is perfect for the winter. We’ve posted a full review of these bad boys here and I’ve spotted them in stores so don’t walk run!

Last up is the Toni & Guy Rough Texturiser and since cutting my hair a little shorted I’ve found it a little bit harder to get volume through my hair. I know that’s backwards but I think because I had such a routine with my hair before now I’m a little unsure of what to use. I’ve gone back to the lighter texturising spray like the Toni & Guy and I’m finding it gives texture without weighing down my locks therefore they are more long-lasting.

I’m going to have to take a look at the Toni and guy spray. I cut my hair shorter and am having a bit of an issue with it being to soft and not holding a wave. On another note, can I ask where you got your gorgeous little marble tray? Love it x

It’s really fantastic for that! I’m glad I’m not the only one who had that issue. The tray I get so many questions about lol. It’s from H&M home but I bought it last November so I’m almost certain they don’t do it anymore. I was in there last week and couldn’t find it (wanted to buy another couple lol) xx
