Clinique have been on fire with their latest releases the past 12 months. A revamp of their make up line has been many newbies come in and take the brand from one I’d typically walk past straight to one I gush over. Here are my thoughts on two of their newer releases you can find on counter now.
The Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primers have been everywhere for the past few months after some very clever marketing by Clinique saw the bigger UK bloggers raving about the line. That always makes me a little more hesitate but regardless it really does get the product in my mind so kudos Clinique. These are all described to have a semi-matte finish which I would agree with because they really are that good middle ground in finish. They are made to be luxurious yet weightless, that means they’ll still give you a good whack of pigmented colour but they’ll be comfortable, which again I do agree with. The colour I’m wearing is Sugar Pop and it’s a really great nuetral, everyday pink. These are $40 in Australia which is CRAY compared to the states so that is the major downfall.
Onto the Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara in Portly Plum and oh boy! This is stuff is good. If you have hazel or brown eyes you need to try this because it’s the perfect ‘oh hey I’m a little different but not completely crazy different’ kinda colour. My favourite way to wear it is to smudge a purple shadows under the lower lashes and then really load the lashes up with it… I don’t know why I just really love that look. In terms of the actual mascara formulation it’s not my favourite as I find it does more for separating and defining then adding volume BUT I would 100% repurchase just for the awesome colour. It’s ace.
