THE WEEKLY NOTES #15 cleaning out, getting glasses & another half-Marathon

Phew! Another week down and it’s been a crazy one. I hope you all had a good one.

 

This week I spent alot of my time chasing my tale with the website. I feel like as soon as I get ahead I’m behind again… Anyway I’ve prewritten for the next two weeks, bar this series obviously, so it’s taken the pressure off as we have a wedding we’re going away for. Despite that I’ve been slowly clearing out my make up and getting rid of any products I’m not overly fussed on. I cannot tell you how amazing it feels! Some bits are getting given to friends, tossed because they’re old or donated.

 

I hadn’t had my eyes tested since I was 10… Can you believe that? Over the past month being on the computer and reading has caused really bad migraines so I had to do something - I’m so glad I did because I need glasses! I chose some really cool Cheap Monday frames and I can’t wait for them to be ready. I wish there was more of a selection for people with big heads… But anyway I’m SO happy with the Cheap Monday ones! If you haven’t had your eye tested - do it!!! I went to Spec Savers and the customer service was really fantastic.

 

Today Isaac completed his second half-marathon in a month. What a superstar! I don’t have too much else to say but he is amazing and y’all should tweet him congratulations (just to confuse him!) :P

    How hard you work still seriously amazes me Sarah! How you fit it all in I will never know! But yes working all day at computer screen definitely does a toll on your eyes - but welcome to the glasses club! Be sure to post some pics when you get them! :P

  • That Issac kid! What a champion. I think the furthest I’ve run is like 5km. XD Do you have to wear your glasses all the time or just for reading?

    • He is such a champion! I don’t run at all so I’m very impressed by his efforts. Just for reading and screen work/TV etc :) x

    • Yes! It’s so worth getting them checked because it was life changing for me! Congrats on being able to run that distance (or training too - amazing!) I’ll ask him if he wants to do a post on some tips and tricks :) xx

  • Glasses changed my life! haha… I just assumed everything was supposed to be blurry when it wasn’t close. Now, everything is beautiful! :P

    • Now looking at a computer screen is so much worse after trying on the glasses and seeing the difference.. I can’t believe I’ve left it for so long!! I can’t wait to get them now :)

  • Oh my, that’s how I found out I needed glasses too! Headaches, Migraines and blurry vision from the TV (the computer wasn’t a thing then but that’s a factor now) and reading. Love the Cheap Monday styles, I’m kind of excited to see which ones you get (weird huh.) Glasses can be pretty exciting when you’re not forgetting to bring them with you and they can look so sassy haha.

    • I’m now obsessed with frames and can see getting new ones becoming an unhealthy addition haha! I’m excited.. I get them Thursday so will definitely include them in this weeks TWN’s :) x
