Best in beauty releases is back and will be back each month now! Yay. There wasn’t too many releases this month with the bulk of newbies releasing in February and March but there are still a few things I know you guys are going to love.

Dermalogica Clear Start Hydrating Lotion
You all probably know by know just how much of a fan I am of Dermalogica skincare and the Clear Start range is my go-to when my skin is looking a little worse for wear. I don’t love every product from the liner but overall it’s such an incredible range for troubled skin (even if you’re not a teen!). When I caught wind that they were releasing this product my heart sang because it’s designed to help treat breakouts with experiencing that dryness other treatments can cause in the area. It contains that magic ingredient Hyaluronic Acid so it does penetrate deep into the skin helping restore moisture whilst also helping reduce inflammation and flakiness. It is a moisturiser but I tend to use it more as a serum, applying it beneath my sunscreen during the day and under my heavier night creams in the evening. It’s fantastic and very comparable to the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo.

Essence Happy Girls are Pretty Collection
The name of this collection makes me cringe but the collection itself is very pretty boasting pretty pastels and natural hues. There is a large collection of nail polishes however most contain shimmer which I don’t love but the cream colours are gorgeous. There is also a few sheer lip balms that are more like a moisturising lipstick because they do have a few whack of pigment about them and they do feel super comfy to wear. The contouring palette is good but not great due to the underwhelming highlighter – the contouring shade isn’t so bad if used very sparingly.

Models Rock Liquid Matte Lip Creams
These I really don’t want to spoil my review that’s coming next week but just know they are ACE with an incredible colour range. Well done Models Rock!

Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara
I’ve never tried a Bobbi Brown Mascara until this one and I’m super impressed. This gives a really smokey appearance to the lashes with lots of separation and lift. It does also hold a curl pretty well for a non-waterproof mascara which is a big factor for #droopylashgals like me. The brush isn’t my favourite to use just because it’s that super soft natural bristle brush which I find a little hard to control – especially with the jumbo size of this wand. Apart from that the formulation is amazing and definitely has me interested in trying more mascaras by Bobbi!

Rimmel Instant Tan BB Skin Perfection Matte
I love a good instant tanning product so when this landed on my desk I couldn’t wait to get it on my body instantly applying it to my arm. I wouldn’t use this expecting a deep dark, olive tan because it’s not something that can be easily achieved with a product like this. This would be a product I would reach for if I needed to even out my current tan for a few more days OR just wanted to take the harshness of my super pale skin away. It’s a handy product to have stashed away in the bathroom when you’re in a pinch.

Rimmel Super Gel Nail Polishes & Top Coat
Next up in line after Essie is Rimmel in my favourite nail polish brand. The brushes are thick, easy to use and the polishes are generally such great quality. Rimmel have jumped on the gel-polish-at-home bandwagon releasing this new range and I have to say  I like it but I don’t know whether it’s love. The top coat is incredible, fast drying, non-fuss and can be applied in one swipe with a glossy finish – awesome. But the colour I was sent isn’t the greatest. I think it’s going to be a line similar to the Sally Hansen Miracle Gels where some of them are awesome whilst others miss the mark completely.

L’Occitane Citrus Verbena Collection
L’Occitane always release the most gorgeous collection and this citrus one is gorgeous. Here I have the shampoo, conditioner and perfume. I haven’t used this shampoo and conditioner yet but the scent of the perfume is absolutely yummy! It’s perfect for summer or if you like fresh scents.

I have been loving that Dermalogica Clear Start Hydrating Lotion and I find that it has really been helping my skin! Despite being quite oily myself my skin gets quite dehydrated in summer so this has been fab for combating that without being overly heavy on the skin. I also haven’t tried any Bobbi Brown mascaras but that one sounds amazing! x

Despite the fact that Bobbi Brown is pretty much a household name I’ve actually never tried hardly any of her products. That mascara sounds pretty good though, I think trying out mascaras from a new brand is probably one of the easiest ways to get interested in their products.

Hahaha I love how you said the name of the Essence range makes you cringe! I feel like their targeting is so towards a younger demographic which is why its like that but so many of us love their stuff so I wish they made their products look / sound better! x
